No, its not only him I honestly live around black people my school in 90% black. They use the racial card so much, but they are so damn racist themselves. Now I am not saying there are no mature black people, I have met a few and get along with them. But most of them are ignorant. If a teacher doesn't like them its always "Its cause I'm black", not because their loud and always disrupt the class. Also I swear a lot of them want money just sitting on the couch. I remember at my aunts work there was a African American working and she did almost nothing and so got paid less. One day she made a huge dramatic scene that she got paid less then everyone cause "she was black", again not because she did absolutely nothing. I also think black girls are the worst they all think they are cute and stuff and call other people ugly when they are a lot uglier, one girl called the teacher ugly and I don't even wanna describe her.
Btw I know there is a big difference between the n word and cracker, but one time my friend accidentally said the n word and the next day when he was leaving lunch someone got a rock in their fist (so it makes their punch harder). ran and hit him in the back of the head, it cracked his skull. Thats how far they go when someone accidentally says it and not even in a racist/mean way.

Look kid, im black. My whole family is black. I've been around black people my whole life. I'm sorry if your HS sucks and kids are mean or that someone at your aunts job feels she's being underpaid but don't go around assuming that all black people are like that and don't go around generalizing us like that. Your experience is limited and as you get older i think you will find that ignorance, lazyness, stupidity, and arrogance are not traits assigned by skin color...If you mean to tell me that you've never met a white person who wasn't any of the former things mentioned i'd call you a liar. If you want to go ahead and think that racial inequality doesn't exist and black people are making it up then you have only to look in the mirror to find part of the problem. Because of your limited experience you have already come up with prejudices towards black people. You don't sound like you'd be impartial to skin color if you were ever in the position to hire people or dole out responsibility. So people like you give certain black people a reason to say "its because im black" because in your case it probably would be even if you wouldn't like to openly admit it. That in turn starts a boy who cries wolf sort of thing because the inequality still exist. Remove race from the table and people will reason that is something else "Its because im old/Irish/young/canadian/short/fat etc." Alot of people unable to accept responsibility for their own actions (again a people thing, not a race thing) often find shelter in these kinds of statements. Normally they are ignored but as long as the prejudice exist the inequality does as well so people can keep doing it. So congratulations on perpetuating a trend you seem to abhor so much...

I shouldn't have to sit here and explain this to you but the fact that i do lets me know that prejudice is still alive and while i may not openly ever say "It's because i'm black" when i go in for an interview or a social encounter turns out unfavorably "Was it because I'm black?" will always be at the back of my mind gnawing at my optimism and good faith in people, doubt like that will wear on a person i assure you and the results will just be more of the same old cycle....

Read the bold. I don't just judge every new black person I see like that. I usually try to get to know them. I would never be unfair to one race over another, I am not white, I know how it can feel. Talking "hood" doesn't mean you're a dumbfck, it's part of the culture. Society has attached negative bias towards speaking a certain way, so people who speak that way are perceived to be ignorant. Of course not everyone speaks like that, I didn't say that, but that was my explanation of why that man spoke that way. Also, zoning laws affect a far greater area than just the inner city. Lessee... the slaves came from sub-saharan africa, they had their own language and culture. They were given no education. Whatever english they learned was what their masters allowed them to learn. The slaves were also segregated from the white folk so the sub-saharan african accent perpetuated itself until the 1960s when segregation was outlawed. It's only been 50 years since black people could interact freely with white people. You don't lose the accent when your grandparents, parents and everyone around you speaks the same way. City zoning laws that keep low poverty people in the same area play a big part in this.

The accent and style of speech spread across the ENTIRE south during the period of slavery, even rich white slave owners would talk with that accent. It has nothing to do with segregation, or parents or zoning laws...its the style of speech of the area...Theres no point in posting that graph without understanding total population distribution. Black people only make up of 12% of the entire US population, white people still outnumber them in the south so the accent is spoken by more white people than black people...

CBS is reporting about the notorious video depicting a college student's assault of near-septuagenarian. Iyanna Washington, a hate criminal, is attempting to downplay her role in inducing a college-aged male to assault a senior citizen:

Washington admits she cheered on the younger man during the fight, as did several other people around her. She said ever since she posted the clip on YouTube, she has received emails and comments on her YouTube account; some of which used the n-word.

She did not merely cheer the man on during the fight. Instead, she use racially-loaded terms like, "pinky," and "white boy." She encouraged the African American college student to "**** up that white boy," "Get pinky," and "Beat his white ass."

Iyanna Washington is, quite simply, a hate criminal. She promoted an attack against an elderly man because of his race.

It is unfortunate that people are using the same form of racism in addressing Ms. Washington. It is sinking to her level. That Ms. Washington hates Caucasian Americans so much that she'd incite violence against a senior citizen is sad.

Indeed, Ms. Washington should be prosecuted for inciting violence. She should also be charged under relevant hate-crimes statutes. She should be arrested for stealing the hate crime victim's bag. She should not be addressed as an n-word.

There are differences between white southerner versus black southerner vernacular, with grey areas in between of course. Certainly they may have many similarities since the slaves learned english from their masters, but linguists distinguish the two. If they were the same, linguists would not classify them as different. It's also not just a southern thing, african american vernacular english is spoken throughout the US.

Either way... whether or not more white people speak african american vernacular than black people has nothing to do with why this black man speaks african american vernacular, which was the original question.
