yes and many of them are against music, and dancing, and abortion, and taking their children to a doctor. none of these objections are advocated by scripture. and neither is forced monogamy.

Met a lot of interesting Christians on campus, they advocate scripture over what men of "faith" and non-biblical doctrines say. Appealing, in a way.

morals are determined buy the majority of a society, so yes in america, its immoral.

Well when the Mormons moved up to the north west they wanted to ratify their state into the union. Part of the compromise was that they would drop the practice of polygamy.
This all goes back to colonization and Christianity.

There are still people that practice it though.
I saw a show on Nat Geo yesterday where a guy in Canada had 15 wives and about 60+ kids!

Fair enough, but if you go deeper than that, is it truly immoral? From an evolutionary standpoint, no.
