Annoying thing about hitting the higher lvls. (aka: Cap)

Post by Goseki »

I noticed this. The moment you get close to hitting cap, last 10 lvls, many people change. I only pay for kicks now-a-days so i could care less what happens. But I've noticed. Some people stay the same aloof way and help others pretty easily. Others get a lot more stingy. Especially the stronger they get. I noticed some of my friends, once they got a som or higher, they just got really withdrawn. No longer sharing accounts, no longer lending out money. It's like they're afraid it's gonna be gone. I have a sun, but I still lend out and share shit. Don't really care too much anymore. Guess that's why.

Anyone else noticed that capped players start showing more stinginess and scared of losing last tier items? I know it's not everyone, but they really start showing up a lot closer to end cap.

Why would this be surprising or interesting to you when its so obvious. The time and effort that went into getting that close to the cap automatically makes the person more cautious. Its only natural.

Its obvious while nearing the cap u need all the gold you can get as well as all the good weapons you can have. Hitting the cap in nearly every MMO is about having the best gear so you may leave your mark.

And also losing your account from sharing it becomes more risky. Losing your account isn't really the problem but losing all the time and effort that went into making it is a big deal.

i'd get pissed as hell if i share my account and he took it for himself and stuff. i mean, if its your friend then yea its understandable. but if tis your ONLINE friend then you better think twice.

Yeah I noticed...I'm capped and got no problem with borrowing money to friends or let them play on my char, I got my set done and I know I can trust them (even the online friends yes).

i have just a few selected people i completely trust, by few i mean 3-4. never ever refused to lend them something. and if i did, it's not because of greed and/or fear of getting scammed. i'm actually more generous once i hit cap, giving out free plvl, low lvl items and stuff..
i've only shared my account infos with 1 online friend ever, and she earned that through 5 years of unconditional friendship.
but yeah, i did meet a few people who became really greedy (call it cautious if you must), and generally complete a-holes once they got really strong/capped/rich.

yup
shared my account with 2 friends i had known for a few months in real life, turned out that it was easier to find items for new lvls, sell stuff while someone couldnt be on and the best part was switching characters at fort warfor a new experience.

since you can't visit some online friends home so easily they get disinhibited and pull shit off knowing that there isnt much you can do.

I don't expect people to be sharing suns, and even though they're just pixels, a lot of people do stupid things just to get them. What annoys me the most are those that show their true colors when they do pvp at cap.

I help people, but I dont let them on my account period... I don't mind sharing items as long as I'm not using it currently.

Its not like I'll just trust anyone mind you, but I just trust the people I know and don't loan out things I wouldn't want to lose. I know if I dont have it in my hands, there is risk of me not getting it back so I just don't loan things out I don't want to lose.

I know who I can trust and who I can't trust. Sure I won't let someone on my char the day I met him but over a week or something I can see if he's trustworthy or not usually. It never failed atleast.

I certainly would'nt let someone on my account if i did'nt trust them! I also would definitely be less inclinded to let someone on it if i'd spent like $100+ on magic pop to get a sun... all they would have to do would be npc it and log off, then POOF it's $100 gone lol.

I don't trust anyone fully anymore. I've been backstabbed by so many of my "online friends" it's not even funny. Nowadays, if I lend stuff out, I don't expect it back.
