I'm going to take the Network + Certif exam in April.
Anyone take it or study it? I'm not concerned since it's base fundamentals for Networking, but key points would be appreciated. My employer is getting on my case about not having it (Morons) yet I'm basically running and managing the entire operation from Hardware up to the Cisco/Juniper gear and even Server App's. It seems trivial and a waste of 191$ or so.
i would practice a little, cause even if you know a lot of real life stuff the test goes by its own standards and really comes up with some quirky answers for things, its more about understanding how the test works then the material.
I didn't go with the Networking thing cause i found it boring and i hate Cisco as a company. But i would just grap al the certs you can specialy when your young. Go for it it is always welcome.. What you learn is importent but wat is more is that you can put it on your CV

Cisco is 3-4x more expensive then Juniper and Extreme systems =P Also, JUNOS is pretty amazing, haha. It's a wonder why it's still the standard in so many companies.
I'll post again summarizing whole chapters and see if people understand and agree with it
