Warlock or Warrior?

Post by larrylhm »

Hey guys im back (again). My friend has kindly agreed to powerlevel my character along with his, but i cant decide which one to powerlevel. My warlock/cleric or Warrior/cleric

here's a bit info on them:
Warlock/Cleric lv 57
my first character on Venus
Only around 1-2k SP left, FF to 54

Warrior/Cleric lv 36 (and counting, he's powerleveling it as i type)
my second character on Venus
Around 68k SP left, FF to 32

I really like both Warrior and Warlock...but i only have 1 chance to powerlevel either of them.

if i am going with warlock, when he's going to the spot for leveling 50+, i'll use my warlock to go. if im going with warrior i'll just follow him around.

please mind that the warlock and warrior are in the same account so i cant use other comps to powerlevel both.

:( headache!

This is a hard one xD
Lock/Cleric with the right amount of SP is really fun to play or to lvl.
Warrior/Cleric is the unchallenged PvP build, good PT build too.

To break it down:
Lock/Cleric good at solo, good at pt, might be hard to find 8/8 pties at times since every1 in any server is cleric. SP requirements is heavy at ALL times since you need to be wither Full Lock or Cleric at different situation.
Warrior/Cleric is good at solo too, good at pt. Easier to find a spot in 8/8 since warriors that goes 8/8 are quire rare, atleast in my server it is. And if you can't find a spot as a warrior, u can always go cleric. SP requirement is less heavy, since you dont need all 3 weapons on your war tree and you don't need many from Cleric too. Take Bless, Orbit, Rec Division, Holy Spell, And Immolation. That should be enough to secure you a spot as a cleric in 8/8.

lock/cleric...i doubt there are many parties in sro now, so warrior/cleric is pretty hard to lvl. unless you're getting power leveled all the way..
let it gooooo let it gooooOoOooOOOOOO

Theres alot of 8/8 pties.
Of which most are bots.
Yes, they hav worked their way around.
Euro bots don't solo anymore unless they have to.

So if leveling/party isnt a problem, i'd like something that is good at PVE and not bad at PVP. main focus is PVE first :)

Well, PvE wise both is as good i would say.
U get Ksed if theres a Rogue or Wizz around.
PvP wise, Warrior is superior, but Lock is not bad as well.
Lock require more skill tho. Daze/slumber + Offer = instant win.
Don't bother abt curse, since most build has Holy Word on.

Warrior killing slow is not true, using 2H, it kill pretty fast.
I would say its slightly faster than a chinese int nuker.
U'll see 2H war often ks them since it has KD too.
The only thing it doesn't have is range and speed.
Be prepare to buy alot of speed drugs...

I forgot to say this.
Depending on the mobs you're on, Warrior can kill faster and often KS a warlock.
Let say you're lvl 100 solo on 98 Mob.
A warrior will ks warlock.
Let say you're on lvl 94, then its a different story.
Warlock will ks the Warrior.

On 94,
Warlock DoT + Flower = Dead Mob
On 98/99
War will KD the mob or Crit it to death b4 your DoT + Flower does it.
He deals more damage, he gets the drop + gold.

yea thats one of the down side of warlock.

how's warrior's damage at higher levels as compared to a int char's? im quite curious since at lower level my warrior had been doing crappy damage.

Warrior damage output is heavy.
Not as heavy as a Rogue, but definitely par to a full int chinese nuker.
As you lvl, it gets better.
Especially when u get DD.
DD is overkill.

oo sounds promising. ok now im back to square 1.

Warrior's got high HP and promising damage, while Warlock's got interesting skills and debuffs and fast zerk refill, and DoTs.

damn this is frustrating @_@

currently my warrior is 42, masteries at 41. so i still have 1 more day (at most) to think of which to choose. :P

btw, which will YOU choose? just for referrence :)

Srsly, just pick one that you like to play.
If you pick the lock, you would want a warrior later, if you pick the warrior, you will want the lock later.
Both build are good and fun to play.
From what i see, it seems like you prefer the lock more, if thats the case, go lock.
Lock is one of the minor build.
Warrior/Cleric is all over the server.
