Did anyone watch the Grammys, what did you guys think? I personally thought it was crap, only the MJ tribute was decent.

I don't see any other singer who sings as well as she does and puts so much effort into their craft as she does. Her songs also connect with women extremely well. She earned those awards.

Music is so arbitrary, I just won't bother arguing if it was deserved or not.
If a band/singer that I like gets a grammy, great. If they don't, care. It won't change the music I listen to.

Maybe I should transfer this philosophy to the oscars, but somehow I do get genuinely upset when bad movies get oscars.

The performances between nominations get worse and worse each year. I think its because people are using synthesizers and other voice-over techno programs so much in their songs now they cant reproduce them live.

In all honesty who the fuck cares about grammy's whats the point? all i see is people bitching about anything that happens, y'all think beyonce is overrated bla bla bla, when someone else gets an award you (and others) bitch even more!!! WHAT THE HECK?? Never watched grammy's never will, I just think its some pointless meaningless crap

It's not going to make you listen more / less to any singer that gets an award, since your all complaining she got too many awards so why the heck should they get grammy's?

A nice hand shake and a pat on the back should be good enough.

Think about it economicly wise too... Who is paying for all that ceremony crap? Artists already have enough fame with their songs, I think this is just a money wasting scheme and should be removed tbh.

I much prefer people that can sing WITHOUT auto-tuning. Makes it worthwhile showing up to their concerts. Plus for me, it shows musical talents. Crap these days where any video on the web can be turned into a song via autotune is shit.

Tell me any other field of proffesion that you get your own idk 1 - 2hr show of medals and trophies?

I'll take for example my dad, been working as a pilot for what 25+ some what years? no one has given him a trophy

with movies its not so much the movie that gets it more one part of it such as animation or sound some bad movies do contain good aspects god forbid me for saying this transformers 2 could earn an oscar for animation
