Independant Webcam + Laptop.

Post by Skyve »

Sup SRF,

So yeah here's the situation. I'm using Skype to talk with my dad (he dosn't live here) and I'd really like to use that expansive webcam we bought on my Laptop. Thing is Skype will automatically detect the Laptops default Webcam and not the one we bought. The "independant" webcam do work(Installed the software with all the cool effects,etc.). Dunno if its a problem on Skype's side or on my Laptop.

TL;DR version : How can I make Skype use my "independant" webcam instead of the Laptop's intergrated one?

Never used skype but the general idea is to install the webcam you bought with whatever CD/software and then change the settings in skype or the default webcam your pc uses (if you're even able to).

you can disable the laptop's webcam, have to read manual on it since laptops vary and so does windows os you use

but in skype, there is an option to choice which one to use, or at least there is on msn... havent used skype for webcam before
How do you explain a naked woman to a pubescent, visually impaired teen?

Yup it is,even overseas. But you will have to pay if you want to call him while he is offline.
