Does your music mirror yourself?

This question popped up into my mind when a friend of mine told me "If I didn't know you I'd say that you are high 24/7" after I linked him some songs I usually listen to.

Yes, I do listen a lot of songs that talk about weed, joints and such, yet I've never put a lit cigarette or joint in my mouth.

So..does the music you listen to reflect your way of living or your style (or vice-versa)?

Somewhat I suppose. I am a very laid back person and that's the type of music I listen to.

Nah, I listen to heaps of different music, none of them represent me in any way, shape or form (Well not off the top of my head).

In a certain way...
I talk about as much as I listen to the lyrics in songs...
thus I like a lot of songs without texts, or very little of them.

My music library is primarily techno/trance but I am an easy going guy. So I would say it does not.

It doesn't for the content of the song, but it does for my mood. Somehow, when I feel sad, the music I listen to, expresses the same. When I feel happy, the music makes me happier. It's weird, I know

my music is varied but when im alone with my thoughts my mind is pretty varied...then again i also use my music as an escape from myself...i dunno really
