Israel or Palestine?

So my mother and I got into a discussion yesterday about Palestine and Israel and it made me realize we all have sort of chosen a side in the Israel - Palestine conflict.

I am personally more drawn to support Israel. My mother was very opposed to Israel because of their abuse of power.
I myself have a hard time understanding why you would support a side that's being run by a terrorist organization, Hamas. Also the fact that Palestinians have been focusing attacks on Israeli civilians a lot disgusts me.

But both sides have done bad things and it's hard to appoint 'the good one', but which side do you favor?

Don't really know enough about the history of the whole Israel area to pick a side, but about the terrorist thing I just have to say "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter".

With my current knowledge about it all, I'd go with Palestine.

Edit: why Palestine? because the media in my country has made Israel look like the bully and Palestine the simple folk just trying to live their lives.

Both countries are bad. Both of them are guilty for the current situation. Theres no a good side. They both war each other. Both wont stop this. And to be honest, I don`t understand why. They`ve been in a war status for years now. Each time they came to a decision to make peace, it failed thanks to the dumb government in both countries.

Second, Palestine is not running by Terrorist, but by people who lost their hope their faith their country, they are filled with anger and hate and pain, Don't you ever wonder why they are acting like this? cause they like it? No because they have no choice.

they've been killing each other even before jesus was born. fcking warmongerers. Anyways, the root of the problem lies in the fact that the western powers in the mid 20th century just spontaneously decided to unfairly put israel's land smack dab in the middle of someone else's country (aka palestine) and started all the trouble.

the only people who will take sides here are israelis, palestinians, and america. everyone else knows that they are incapable of peace.

Just because I can't support Hamas (newsflash: half of the world does not support Hamas) it doesn't mean I don't understand what's going on.

Also, Hamas isn't a terrorist organization because it just fights actively for the liberation of all of Palestine. They subsidize suicide bombers, openly support it. Approve of (or deny) the holocaust and are completely anti semitic.
Not to mention there are suspicions of connections with Al Qaeda. Most likely, your own country sees Hamas as a terrorist group.

this...not to mention Israel has been accused of warcrimes and attacking civilians SEVERAL times leading up to a UN investigation condemning it. So to all those people that posted Palestine is going about it the wrong way, Israel's hands aren't any cleaner so that's a baseless argument. I think the situation has gotten out of hand but its only been made worse by the type of support Israel gets regardless of the terrible things they do while Palestinians get no support from first world nations causing them to turn to the only people who will help them.

Both sides are guilty of various things one could call "war crimes."

My beef with Israel is that they don't get called out for it, and they have the backing of some of the most powerful nations in the world. I've also seen a lot of just generally discriminate behavior on the behalf of Israeli people. There seems to be a lot of folks over there who believe they are superior almost to a point of sheer racism(?) against Palestinians.

IMO they can do what they need to against terrorism, but they do have a lot of support from powerful nations and that means to me that they have no business carrying themselves the way they do. Nothing personal to anyone here who may be from that part of the world, this is just the image I have as an American of the situation.
