[Guide] How-to Make a botter Murderer.

First of all, I would like to say I benefit a lot from this forum, this forum rox!

Second of all, DANG!! Today, this is my sweetest day of my time at SRO, because I've made an annoying, pissing,ksing, noob botter a murderer and he got killed and got RED status! muah hahaha!

I actually got the method from this forum [http://www.silkroadforums.com], however, I think there's lack of detail steps by steps guide, so I'm making one.

Why do I make such a guide!?
Well, I wouldn't be so pissed if the botter didn't come messing up my farming rhythm and keep killing mobs where I camped. So I'm making this so everyone has a CHOICE to mess with them, if you're pissed by them like me.

Prep Work, Important!!
1. Turn off or set your pet defensive or unsommon it. (otherwise, you'd be the one who get murderer status)
2. Have a friend who can rezz you handy, otherwise, be like me, just mess with them and don't care.
3. PRACTISE PRACTISE PRACTISE on normal NPC mob first.
4. I only know how to do this as a nuker, not sure how other build can do it.

The Idea:
1. Make the botter program think that they're being attacked, and they'll automatically attack you once you cancelled your attack, and hence they get the murderer flag but not you.

Identify the botter:
If this annoying peep a real botter!? this is very important, someone who's really a jerk and annoy you not necessary mean that they're a botter. It's not 100%, but here's some clue.
1. Botters usually don't join Guild. Why? Botting is not a widely accepted act, your guildies and friends will despise you!
2. Botters usually Kill everything on their way, you see them running around, and kill stuffs on their way, there's no pattern. for example, you see them killing Scorpion and flowers in front of you, as if they didn't see you. and doesn't look like they're doing a quest either.
3. Offend them verbally! call them Botter, noob, etc. Innocents do not like to be flamed! if they're not botter, they will respond!
4. The botter is very smart, if you see botter running toward a mob, you start attack that specific mob, botter will run away to avoid it. But there's a pattern, just keep trying to ks them and see if they respond.
5. I find talking to them is the easiest to identify. so talk to them first before you start "investigate" more.

OK. The Real How-to:
1. click action, and right click on stall, as if you want to open a stall.
2. Don't click OK to really open a stall yet, just have the window sit there.
3. Shift click the person (just like how you rezz).
4. Say your nuke spell is at your slot number 1, press Alt-1 to start firing the nuke.
5. AS SOON AS the firing starts, Click the STALL's ok to open STALL, that will CANCEL your NUKE.
6. VIOLA, the botter thought you're some npc, and start attacking you. Usually you would die too, so have a friend rezz you will be handy. Also friends around you can kill the botter.

That's it Folks. Again, this is not my original Idea on how to do it. I just turn the idea onto a how-to guide. Credit goes to the original idea creator.

Do this quick. The bot program is professional; I believe they can fix this so called "bug" real soon.

and Again, do not take murderer status lightly; make sure you do a lot of PRACTISE..and no mistake on the steps.

Have fun messing up the botter, I know I do!

if you die..yes....but i was really too annoyed by the botter.. I set up everything, harmony theraphy, farming on flowers..and he kept coming to mess it up..well.. I didn't unsommon my pet, so the poor puppy was getting wacked by multiple scorpion..if I didn't recall..it would have dead..

without the puppy..i could just wait there for nice people to rezz me :p

You have a point...but look at it this way. Do you think that the botters don't already know about this? They do. May as well use it as much as we can before their update comes through.

Well, I don't think the majority of the public know how to do this yet. The bot maker will always try to update their stuffs, but at the mean time, I want them to have enough pain..lol..

It will take time for them to have an update.. and not ALL botter subscribe to their service to have the up to date bot client.

don't think so..might want to try on soul spear...any attack that's too fast will not work. try it on npc mob first though

take any range attack that is uber slow to charge, so you have the time to actually cancal it and mount a horse. you could take dragon fly as glaivist if you manage to cancel it so fast :roll:

People the bot makers already know how this is done. Check out the silly botters thread in general. The new patches are already coming out. Heard several bot hunters grumbling today about the bots not attacking back now.

I try on passive monsters and they never attack me back

npc will never attack you back, you practice on them just to make sure the "cancel" works.

some of the botters already got it patched, I tried it last nite, only 2 out of 3 works.

Hmmm i thought i see in a video somewhere, if you attack the botter directly, it will attack you. Just hide behind a tree or something and when you're offender status is gone, IMMEDIATELY move out from the tree. The bot will get stuck on you for another 2 seconds after your offender status is gone before it stopped and looked for npc mob.

Thought this is an alternative method?

you get that temporary purple right?

even though your intention is good to kill the botter, there are always people who loves to jump on purple/red names and i'm talking about a lot of people jumping on you the moment you alt attack

The problem is...how to grind it off?

You wanna go somewhere quiet, that's jangan. Kill blue mobs, and get 1 point off. You need to kill more than 1k of them and that's about 1 hour.

Anyway direct attack and trick won't work now. What should we do?

well..there's always new trick..but i don't think people who know it want to share it..

can't you people understand..it's just a matter of time that your trick will run out..but why not sharing it with the rest to MAXIMISE the disturbance to the BOTTER?

My favorite thing to do is find a bunch of bots (who usually move, look, and fight the same way wearing the same things, for example: water ghosts area. i saw at least 6 yestarday) and then get on my lv2X (nooby, I know. shut up.), go trader, buy a white silk w/ transport, then spawn theives right next to the botters. they all go right for it. it's beautiful. It usually takes out 3 or 4 if you do it right.

edit: i screenied one of my "escapades" yestarday. dont care if you know my build, or any crap like that. the focus is on the theif :-)

WOHOOOO YEAH...gold bots in horses will die too WOHOOO when i reach 4X hahaha...just they wait.

Seriously, at the top mosts of dunghuang, where demon horses are, 10 gold botters are definitely there. Happens in alps... Thanks for the tip man. Gotta lvl up fast and pwn them like no tomorrow HAHAHAHA

I would be with u, if I would be any higher lvl. actually I lvl slow due to my 9lvl gap.

Fortunately in Alps there are a lot of high lvls who really care about botters and act against these, esp. against trading botters. I plan to act with any anti-botter party in the near future, just waste a global.

This is usually good for gold botters only. If you want to kill grinding type botters, it is rather hard since they use skills. However as long as your lvl is roughly higher than botter lvl by 10, 1 thief is sufficient enough to keep it busy while you enjoy the show

yup de best way to do it is to get some noob friend or a person from jangan lol and if u got a force to ress peps den ask ur noob friend like 1x 2x 3x to atack de bot and w8 till de bot atacks bk and kills de friend of urs (if he does atack bk :\) and if he does kills him u can ress him and de bot will b a murder and u can KILL HIM !!!!!!!!!!
