The period goes inside the bracket when ending sentences.
Not all the time. (For example, when it's a complete sentence it's fine.) Not to mention the context in which the parentheses are used (they could be used like this). It depends on personal style; however, for the way in which I used them above, the period can only come after the parentheses.

Sorry \_
Bolded example is true, but I don't think your second example was correct.
The content in the parentheses is completing your sentence (or your train of thought) so the period should go right after what you've said (or finished saying) in the parentheses.
I do understand why you wrote your original sentence, the one that I criticized you for. I mean (:.) just looks stupid.
haha dom, im going to stop right here because knowing you, this WONT end.

Unless what you have in brackets is seperate from the sentence you should use 1 and if it is seperate you dont put in brackets its a different sentence all together then.

Check out Rosetta Stone. They have many languages, but the link is for the English version. The software is not free, but I've heard commercials out there where you can get free trials.
I've used it to study Spanish and Chinese. I didn't stick with it for too long simply because I got busy doing other things, but I think it works rather well.
Missing the good times in SRO...

Its aight your not the only one mate.. I started reading this and learned some easy tricks on identifying parts of speech.. I don't know how the hell I made it into AP english when I suck at identifying grammar.
The easiest thing is to learn the endings for verbs, adjectives, adverbs etc etc..
