Xbox 360 no video

So my 360 shit itself after 3 weeks and I cant send it in because my mom ignored what I told her and bought electronics off of ebay.

The problem isn't the RROD, all 4 lights are green. Theres just no video!
I've been reading that this occurs when the processor comes lose because of heat expansion. I've found plenty of guides to fix this yourself, but they all cost $30.

Screw that, anyone with half a brain isn't going to pay for Microsoft's heat distribution **** up, so my question is does anyone know of a free guide?

Well something as simple as no video can be overlooked sometimes...Just making sure but, did you check the rca connection or hdmi or whatever you're using? Is the cable bent awkwardly, and can you try with any other cable first?

Hijack, kinda. My xbox keeps scratching disks..bad. I just bought Battlefield Bad Company two days ago. It already has circular scratches bad enough to cause read errors every now and then. They are caused by the Xbox itself.. brand new game almost ruined after 2 days, gg.

Yeah, same shit happened to mine. Unless you fix xbox's for a living. It would probably be best if you sent it in.

It could be a video error by your video cables. What kind of video cable is it that came with your 360? Is it the simple composite cable (Red, White, Yellow) or is it the component one (RWY + Red, Green, Blue).

Oh and I wanted to make sure, did you say your 360 rings are all solid green or red?

What my friends dad does is just return the console entirely to Costco, place where he bought it, in exchange for a new one. His dad is cool enough to even exchange mines when i had the RROD.1 year warranty ftw?
