What's the benifit of buying new staf at level 8

Post by Goldwynn »

I've bought a new staff at level 8. What's the benefit. Can't combine it with fire bolt or ice bolt. O.K. it's more powerful than the standard staff alone, but not compaired with teh standard staff + ice bolt + fire bolt, which allow me to kill level 12 monsters (sorry: to grind lvl 12 mob). It's a thrill to defeat mob 4 level above my own. Should I continue with my old standard staff or buy a new one everly 12 - 16 - 20 etc lvl?

It increases your damage, the attacks you use will do more damage. Try to get a new staff everytime one is available (from lvl 8 that is lvl 8/10/13/16/18/21/24/26/29/32/35/38/42/45/48/52/56/60/64/68/72/76/80/85/90/94 and 98)

Thanks for your quick reply.
Only the reason why I can't combine my new staff with fire bolt and ice bolt keeps me puzzeled.

By the way: one additional question: do I have to sell my old staff after buying a new one? Or has it still some pro's to keep it?

Yea it's prob that you bought a warlock rod or something instead of a staff. Bummerz.

Impressive to see such innocent players at this stage of silkroad, not insulting you in any way there, just really surprised, that someone has such perseverance to start playing sro, with such waiting time to get on, unless ofcourse you bought a premium already :)

Hf with your pm ;)

And hmm I didn't think of that yeah, you probably bought the wrong staff. You either bought Light or Dark staff and you need a Twohand staff.

So sell the one you have now and buy a lvl 8 Twohand staff ^^ Keeping your old staffs isn't needed at your level, when you get better staffs it might be good to sell them in a stall instead of selling them to the npc.
