I bought some new components and got them all together for my cousin...hes like my brother though. We game and stuff.

I paid $300 for it


Amd Athlon 3800+ Socket 939
2gb of DDR-400(old shit) ram
old hp pavilion a1130n mobo(dont know the model)
250gb 7,200rpm sata1 hd
dvd+rw+dl dvd burner
second dvd drive
XFX Nvidia 8800 GTS (320mb)
450W PSU
and a wireless network card

took me 30minutes to build and everything went alright

for 300 bucks that doesn't sound bad.
my computer has 2x as bad specs and we've paid over 800 euro back when we got it (2002, back then it was still awesome ).

Built a computer recently that trumps that for $275CDN. After conversion of dollars and the difference, I could have bought something better than an 8800.

yah i wanted to buy something better! but... considering the low low specs anything better u prbly wouldnt get the full benefit with so I decided that the 8800 gts was aboutthe best i could get for like $80 w/o having to buy a $120 psu
