Did you ever collect Pokemonc cards?

I used to collect em alot. I didn't even know what Pokemon was other than a gameboy game my friend had that I thought it was pretty cool. Then I was in a Toys R Us one time and saw the first kind of pokemon cards, got a pack and it had a 1st edition Venusaur and got hooked I guess lol. Also kept em in the binders, just had a big one I tried to get all of them in order in. It was always fun opening those booster packs to see if you get anything good.

I think had just about all of em upto Fossil, iuno what came out next, I even had some japanese or w/e they were that some kid on the school bus had I traded stuff for lol, I think it was like blains arcanine or somethin, never found out, but they looked cool, lil later I started sellin em to kids at school and stuff lol, made a pretty penny ;d.

I had a bunch of Pokémon cards too yeah. I remember the first package I bought had Dewgong and Arcanine in it, and all the kids at school thought I was lucky to get those lol. I only wanted the cool and cute ones though, so I wasn't interested in getting them all.

But after the 2nd series (with Totodile etc), I stopped, the Pokémon became weirder looking and I lost interest. I thought I lost them, but after I moved out Mum found them. I told her she could sell them at a garage sale, so who know where they are now lol.

I remember when I was like 6-7, me and my friends all had pokemon cards but we didnt know how to play the real game so we invented our own. we used to play in the park and we had to move a lot and do certain moves so people would walk by and be like WTF?

lol, I remember teaching my mom how to play pokemon cards and she didn't even understand the snes mario games. I'm surprised so many people had trouble learning how to play.

yeah I collected them too but the red version game on game boy color and the show on TV were more interesting to me.

I still have my yugioh deck too but I bet its real shitty now because its a first generation deck.

Me and my 2 sisters both collected them. We got so many that we made a 60 card deck for each color (even the new steel and dark) and I still have them in a dusty box under my bed xD. All the extras we dumped on our little cousins.

Ironically, on the very first day of high school, one kid brought out the new gameboy with the flip lid and was playing pokemon sapphire. Than for some reason within a week every single one of us had it and was playing it... than by the second week it was all gone and that first week was never spoken of again... o_O

I did collect the Pokemon cards at one point.. that whole "gangs murdering kids with cards for the money" thing really turned me off it.

And I agree, Yugioh > Pokemon, purely because by the time yugioh came out, I actually cared to learn the rules of the game and enjoyed playing.

I got a Blastoise in like the last days of when Pokemon was popular where I lived I was all happy but then no one cared anymore (Traded my Beyblade to a Gr8 for the Blastoise)

As for the hatin' on older people playin' Pokemon, different strokes for different folks. You may not like it now, but move along, leave people to enjoy what they want.
