DHCP and Dynamic IP Address (Need Help)

how do i stop it changing ip address from time to time?
or how do i maintain my internet connection for more than 10hours without resetting the router?

Normally my wireless gateway change my ip address every 3hours. im so pissed cuz i always get dc and the only way to get internet connection back is by turning off and on the router.

is there possible way to connect in the internet continuously without the reset of ip?


I'm using a broadband that is connected in DHCP server.

please comment if you know anything about DHCP and Dynamic ip.... thnx

are you using windows xp?

if anything you are loosing connection to the router not the internet yourself.

what is the name of the router?

upgrade to sp3 it provides some nice updates and that (but you don't have to)

I have already tried that, but that doesn't help. internet connections stop to renew the ip even if im not afk.

what is your wireless adapter? you could try downloading the latest drivers.

My adapter has no ip, its just plain adapter.

what are you using to get wireless internet? i wireless card? or what? plus knowing the came of said hardware would be nice.
