Ok after takeing a closer look it seem that the updater and the servers are in the same ip range and the exact same port.. for atlest My server Alps. and i assume all the other. thats very wierd to me.

I'm really sorry i dident think it was set up like that you can play but you will al be playing threw thos proxys and it will be really really slow. if you can find your self a good/fast socks5 your good to go tho

Again i'm really sorry atlest you can get updated and maybe open a shop or something.

I unstalled silkroad back when it first would not work so updateing it is takeing FOEVER....but atlest i will be able to play when i wake up.

Also by my logic i dout you will have to play on the server threw the proxy i might revise the howto above slightly after i'm done updateing that way playing won't be insanely slow.

I'm thinking after you get past the updater it will be ok but we will see.

EDIT: thats odd, my reply disappeared.
Anyway, what proxy is that, half the sro population is going to overload it if it isn't a good connection.

For right now i'd say yes.. atlest to get past the updater once your in the game i think you'll be ok with out it..

but that depinds on if the updater is on a diffrent port than the game servers witch it all most certainly is.

Might require a little tweaking to the ip range in the settings but i can't say for sure untill i get in.

The way i had you set it up it will only work for the silkroad.exe on port 15779 witch is the the updater if i'm not misstaken the game it self is a totaly diffrent exe with a totaly diffrent port so it won't ever go threw the proxy thus no crazy lagg.

So yes i guess you can turn it off but i see no harm in leaving it on.

 I LOVE YOU! Thanks a lot. I can load the SRO site now, however it's very slow-loading. Let's see how the client works...

Ok i got it all done and i know whats wrong....
aprently when you Start the game it connects to alot of diffrent ips.

[23:49] sro_client.exe - 121.128.133.26:15779 connection established
[23:50] sro_client.exe - 121.128.133.26:15779 connection closed (142 bytes sent, 404 bytes received)
[23:50] sro_client.exe - 121.128.133.68:15779 connection established
[23:51] sro_client.exe - 222.111.150.32:21 connection established
[23:51] sro_client.exe - 222.111.150.32:14880 connection established
[23:51] sro_client.exe - 222.111.150.32:14880 connection closed (0 bytes sent, 256 bytes received)
[23:51] sro_client.exe - 222.111.150.32:14932 connection established
[23:51] sro_client.exe - 222.111.150.32:14932 connection closed (0 bytes sent, 256 bytes received)
[23:51] sro_client.exe - 222.111.150.32:21 connection closed (248 bytes sent, 597 bytes received)

Now i got in by twinking it a bit as you can see but i was playing threw a proxy = really slow.
