I'm pretty sure vampires wouldn't have a religion...
Why would a vampire believe in a god and then be afraid of it's holy power =o

perhaps it is not fear of gods powers, but fear of the powers that humans would be able to call upon when they think god is on their side.
Willpower > Vampire?

Vampires don't even exist, meaning that people made them up, meaning that anyone can shape them the way they want.

Not so recently. The traditional traits of the European vampire has been broken so many times. Crosses and holy water do not work on vampires in the Blade series. Anne Rice's vampires do not make other vampires from bites alone. Others add back reflection on mirrors. Others remove their susceptibility to sunlight and add glitters. Others make them pale, or dark, or with crazy superpowers. Some even go so far to make them completely immortal.
It's fiction. What do you expect?

I'm think the reason the old movies made em hurt by crosses was because they were evil creatures of hell, and its a holy thing of god or w/e ¬.¬.

Re: The Great Vampire Debate
Vampires were scared of the cross because they were originally the son of the devil, or demons. The cross represented the power of god. So yeah.

Re: The Great Vampire Debate
vampires as we know them are a reletivly modern thing which became popular in the 18th century, vampires are present in all know civilisations in some form they are speculated to date back as far as prehistoric times.
The cross has nothing to do with them what so ever as they pre-date religion so to speak the belief systems back then where basic a way to compensate for the unknowns non the less thought id bring this to light. pays to do a bit of research

Re: The Great Vampire Debate
The Star of David or Shield of David is a generally recognized symbol of Jewish identity and Judaism. It is named after King David of ancient Israel; and its earliest known communal usage began in the Middle Ages alongside the more ancient symbol of the menorah. Geometrically it is the hexagram.
With the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 the Star of David on the Flag of Israel has also become a symbol of Israel and has become associated with the Zionist movement.

It's like the Christian's Cross.

Somewhat interesting read about Jewish lore about vampires.
I think vampires are probably just demons that have taken human form or humans that have had their souls corrupted by demons. A vampire would be Jewish only because it allows for easier concealment inside human society, like a wolf wearing sheep's clothing. They would probably have a higher chance of surviving these days since there aren't many vampire hunters left anymore. It's unlikely that symbols created by humans would have any effect on them, unless there is some sort of power behind that symbol.
