how to properly farm with ongs method?
I made this topic because im a returning player (alot has changed) and dont want to make any mistakes with my first char.
i realize that in order to farm @ ongs i need to get myself to lvl 23 with 9 gap and then dlvl to 19 or something like that
i have a few questions:
1. what is the best other method of buying premium besides paypal (since that is avail only from lvl 20)
2. how do i get into this taxi groups without knowing anyone and having to pay for it
and how does it basically work, do i just set my character to follow the leader and get xp?
when i started this game back in 2007 i played with friends and they helped me with everything, now im kind of alone and dont have any money or know anyone to let me in on the party without paying back.
ideas, tips?

To answer your questions:
The only exception is if you're really low level (1-10, possibly 1-15). They might let you in to increase their noob char's xp and kick you once you're 15-20. The penalty of iSRO will totally suck this method out tho.
To gain XP in ongs you would normally just sit on the hills or somewhere safe and let the player (bot) plvl ya.
Not exactly sure, but you could buy the silk you need just before you delvl. Problem solved.1. what is the best other method of buying premium besides paypal (since that is avail only from lvl 20)
I haven't played iSRO for a long time but assuming the player base hasn't changed for the better, you don't really have any chance to get into a powerfarming party unless you either know the plvler or pay him.2. how do i get into this taxi groups without knowing anyone and having to pay for it

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
thanks for that
so far i see 3 options:
1. going to ongs and just try and squeeze myself in some parties
2. just 9 gapping untill i meet some random nice players that willing to help out
3. lvling up to high level, get into a decent guild, dlvl or find a different lvl mob to farm
i have another question, in my boring times when i had enough grinding i would go to dw and watch others pvp (learn different strats etc) where is the NEW cool location for PVPing? i traveled to all the chinese towns and didnt see any :/

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
samarkand east, west, north? which one?
also, my previous char was pure int, this time i decided to go pure str to enjoy more pvp between grinding.
the goal is blader, but would you recommend archering my farming at those lvls (15-25) or keep it S/S even when farming? im asking whats better for economy (buying HP/MP).
thanks guys
edit: my question as a whole is what build should i focus on, archer or blader, for farming ofcourse.

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
Bower would be better for farming obviously, the range will save you the walking. If you do it wisely, you could grab a good set of armor (barely any int-damage mobs at low levels) and that'll reduce your HP pot demands.
Honestly though, I think farming at a single point of the game is quite silly. You should play with a constant small gap and only farm a little more when you think it's wise (good mob to farm on, a sudden drop of SoX weapon, new awesome skills).

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
it might something with playing this game in the past already, its like i know whats there to come so i know i need to be prepared, and im not that excited to see whats on the higher levels since ive been there.
this is also the reason i figure, that returning players tend to bot, since they know what was wrong in the first place and just want to skip the grinding and jump straight into action.
for me, i had a bow +4 drop the other day and i figured as you recommended, just go with BOW for now. but this will require lower mob and good armor set. i dunno, we'll see

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
I think pre-farming for a long time will wear you out. I always see people start a char, farm about 50k sp and then just quit because they get bored.
Another reason you should consider is gold. The higher level you are the more gold you'll need to buy better gear. Farming at high levels means you stay the same level (and with same gear) for a long time while you get drops (=gold). Farming at low levels will make you quite poor down the road.

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
I kinda tried pre-farming too, deleveling and getting into as many free ong plvls as I could. Without an event, there are a lot less of those.
I think you can try farming 50k, then 4-5 gap until you can find a good mob to farm on. Huns @ 36/37 aren't bad, bunwangs @ 44, maongs even, mujigis/ujigis, ishades maybe if they aren't overrun with bots, sonars @ 57 on ice if there are some available, shakram/edimmu @ 60ish, maybe try in cave. combine that with quest for power earth ghosts or something. There are multiple places with good spawns, but imho a good spot is hard to find. Even back at bandit den might be tough.
as for leveling I'd go bow for less hp consumption and slightly faster leveling. Bladers are prob going to take tons of mp pots.

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
Was thinking about this and I got another advice for you.
How about making a wiz/bard for yourself? Level it to 64 (preferbly to 72) and if you still want a blader, bower or whatever - just farm it yourself using the wizard? It'll be a lot faster! Your wizard will be under-farmed but it doesn't need to be fully farmed to plvl.
Just to give you some clue on how fast it goes, with a full 9 gap on your noob char and no tickets, you could easily farm 50-100k SP a week without playing more than just 2-3 hours a day.

Re: how to properly farm with ongs method?
Elric thats a sound advice actually, but i thought its impossible to have 2 accounts open? i mean, i do have 2 PCs but on the same connection..
Also, i didnt really understand yet the euro characters, how are they different than chinese and why the hell everyone is using them, i looked through the threads and nothing points to them being superior over chinese classes, yet everyone are euros. :/
also if we went into this wizard thing, can you point whats so good about that class? how is it different than a archer or nuker
as you can see, im really outdated, in a game that is determined by 80% knowledge :[

Guides & Tutorials section is recommended to you, you will find threads about EU expansion and characters, I am sure some decent topics about farming at ongs can be found there also. Read after, compose your thoughts and ask.

You are able to have multiple accounts open on the same connection (IP) but you are limited to one character per computer. If you have a desktop + laptop you'll have an easy time to farm yourself up. If you have two close desktops, well, you are in for some work out
Europeans aren't superior than Chinese but they're much different. Most noteable change is pot timers - your pot delay is 15 seconds on every basic pot (aside from vigor 25%, those are 4 seconds). This is because for the most part, Europeans are support to play in an 8-men party and the different builds are able to compensate for the lacks of others.
If you need a short description of each build it's something like:
[Str]
Warrior - the tanker of the party, able to withstand much damange. Goes well with warlock or cleric sub for pvp. Can add rogue for some solo.
Rogue - the lurer of the party. Has nice distance shots, high and often crits. Can be good for solo as well. Goes well with bard sub for solo, cleric for pt.
[Int]
Wizard - highest damage dealer in the game. Pretty much 1-hits anything of its own level with normal gear. Dies really quickly. Goes well with either bard for solo or cleric for parties.
Warlock - provides lots of debuffs (buffs that make the foe weaker) and damage over time (DoT). Goes well with bard for solo and cleric for parties.
[Buffs]
Bard - increases the damage done by the party while reducing the damage taken, heals MP and gives speed. This is a good sub for any solo build (view the Noise skill) and for parties too.
Cleric - mainly there to heal HP and add protective buffs. Good for solo and parties.
A wizard is best for plvling (and fast lvling) because it basically 1-hit kills anything. At 64 with a good staff you could easily 1-hit pt ongs and pt huns. A sub bard would make you run faster (Moving March) and easier to level up (Noise).
The biggest advantage of the Wizards in plvl though is their AoEs. They have two massive AoEs that can drop a few mobs at once for you while plvling.
