Not sure if this has been posted alrdy but, there is no such thing as -hacking-, there must be someone who knows ur info, that or u use ilegal programs, either way thats not hacking just stupid people.

A hacker is one who either writes code or exploits it. A "hacker" would not take your gold and leave everything else. Next time, don't make friends because no one really cares enough about you to make sure nothing happens to your account.

To the starter, i seriously doubt you got some type of spyware from visiting some sites. If you didnt have ANY type of protection, then you might have, but its almost laughable to think that a keylog that you got would be directed to stealing your SRO acct. LOL! To help you tho, heres what i use. Use AVG free, Spybot: Search and Destroy, use firefox and install the NoScript, KeyScrambler, and WebofTrust Addons. To get rid of any and all potential threats, format your drive. To prevent access to your accts that are already compromised, change EVERYTHING. Pws, Questions, and Email Addresses. Just to cover your ass. If you do al that and get hacked again, its a friend.

One more thing... **** you Goseki. You are the definition of a dickhole. Accusing someone who you have no proof or grounds to accuse of something that this forum deals with in a Nazi like manner. Maybe he has three computers and doesnt multiclient? Or maybe the story he gave was true? Or maybe he did use a multi? What right does that give you to be a dick and point it out? Its not like hes advocating or advertising botting or anything of that sort. Your just being an ass and trying to get him in trouble for nothing.

In addition, all those saying 3rd party programs will compromise your accts, its false. I used to bot alot on other games like Rappelz and even did when i first started SRO and before i found SRF. Ive used every program in the business and never once had a problem... Its just typical SRF propaganda trying to deter players from cheating, which i understand.

Want to know where I get the right? After being on SRF for awhile, I thought the stance here was go point out all the cheaters so Baro can throw a ban-hammer at them. Since unlike other forums like rev6, where it's ok to be a cheater, just don't post about it. Here, if you're caught cheating, you go bb. Unless you don't like that policy, in which case go buy SRF and run it your way or go to rev6 where everyone there probably cheats but just doesn't talk about it.

I'll admit I was in a bad mood the day I saw that topic, but whatever. It's just pretty obvious for reasons already listed in previous posts. Unless someone was smart and already edited their original post, in which case I wouldn't care either.

Umm, may sound stupid, but happened to my guild leader too. He is like the best on our server and they took only his money, not his staff and things. He told me his vision on it, and it was like;
-Joymax and goldselling companies are playing a game together; -Joymax deletes all the money from your account
-You (If you're not legit, and like 90% of the silkroad population isn't) buy gold at a gold companie. (I'm not saying you're not legit, it's just how we (our guild) thinks about getting hacked like that.)
-Joymax gets a part of the gold they sell it for.

I dont bot myself and i hate 3rd party programms or bots.. but because someone bots doesnt mean theyre a bad person or something, i have many friends that bot.. not only in sro but also in various other games.. and honestly? i dont mind it, as long as they keep me out of it and as long as i dont have to start doing it myself its all good. theyre still cool ppl and fun to hang out with. But this forum is not about pointing out anymore.. its all about "uhh im gonna Farking expose you".
and it gets annoying.. you lose sense of humanity and all you care about is exposing someone as a bot regardless of whether you been friends with that person, or theyre nice ppl or contribute alot and good things to the forum, all this doesnt matter.

Seriously though, the only thing I can think of after you reformated your PC and everything, is that you have told a friend you PW or a family member is downloading suspicios items by mistake.

Check you dowloads cache, if there is anything that is not 'mainstream' (ie Windows Live Messenger etc) you might want to persue where it came from.

Thats because they are an American Company interested in keeping their customers, of which they get 15$ per month to help fund their other projects like Diablo and others. They hold a lucrative value to their customers, something joymax does not, either by gold selling companies or just not caring.
