Re: fried fish eaten alive
Lol.
IMO:
Animal cruelty is bad, although I could care less about fish. But I won't label someone as evil simply because they grew up learning things from another culture that I find cruel. Dog eating for example; I have some friends who ate dogs before but I can't really call them evil because it's somewhat normal in their country. Yes, people have options but delving into that will derail the topic into some socio-cultural topic debate. For the record, I grew up in a 'dog-eating' country but I never did and never will eat dogs or cats.
As mentioned before, it's an issue of perspective. What do you think Hindus think of the sacred cow-devouring white devils of the Western world?
Also..there's really no excuse for killing an 'innocent' person. I don't see any point in talking about rape and the other evils of some people in the world. It's their choice and it would be unfair to spread their crimes as a 'crime of all humans.'

To me, all humans are evil.
"What is creations most evil creature? It's man." Not the exact quote but whatever.
Better?

yeah but theres different levels of vegetarianism now. Here at least in the states you're vegetarian if you don't eat any kind of meat. But fish isn't meat so you still can be vegetarian if you eat fish

Most vegetarians I know eat fish and eggs, doesn't really make sense since fish = animal (and vegetarians are supposed to eat vegetables...) and eggs are technically chickens :\

Re: fried fish eaten alive
Well that sounds kinda stupid given the name "vegetarian/vegen" lol.
veg⋅an:
a vegetarian who omits all animal products from the diet.
Someone who will eat fish as well is called Pescetarian apparently
Pescetarian:
a vegetarian who will eat fish.

Vegan is a more extreme form of vegetarian. Vegans don't eat animals in any way, shape, or form. That includes products which contain ingredients derived from animals such as honey or using silk.

thats a health issue IMO. Not eating any red meat can be beneficial to your health but cutting down even things like honey or milk? Vegetarians, especially those who are women, shouldn't take it to an extreme, I mean no milk? thats asking for osterioporosis or joint pains

Yeah, its quite risky if you don't plan out a vegan diet correctly. A lot of the vegans who don't plan out their diet have to take dietary supplements to balance out the lack of nutrients. Sounds like a hassle to me, but to each their own I guess.

They bleed cows so that the meat doesn't spoil. It has nothing to do with hormones and tenderness.

Freshest food you can buy. Thats a real talent, skinning, gutting and frying the fish while keeping it alive even after it hits the plate.
Cruel? The food chains been around for millions and millions of years. I can't even fathom how many times a predator has eaten its prey and it wasn't fully dead yet.
Yep, it would suck if it was a human. So, be glad were not cows and slaughtered by the millions and processed for sell, and enjoy your burger.
IMO, too bad fish didn't learn to scream. I bet if it was wailing and screaming at ear shattering decibles people wouldnt do this to them. lol.

NM, I remembered it backwards. The hormones do affect the tenderness, but it seems it makes the meat tougher.
Dunno why they would eat the fish alive like that except to prove how fresh it is and how the cooks is able to cook just part of a fish... Owell, strange cultures.

Right says, the beef eater who devours the sacred animal of India. For a race with no soul, you seem to be relying a lot on them considering they made 90% of what you own.
What have you done since you seem to think you have a soul and are better? Sat on your fat ass and let mommy feed you? Seems like people with no souls are able to do more than you. Of all the religions in the world, the one i like the most would probably be Buddhism due to their passive and gentle teachings. Unlike Christianity which seems to promote hate of anything outside of their understanding. Don't know how much of a soul you have if you voted against gay marriage, assuming you're even old enough to vote in the US.

And that's a load of crap. Killing the damn thing right there wouldn't make it any less nutritious. It's the method of preparation and cooking that matters.

Not so, within 24 hours of dying, many proteins are degraded. Just look at muscle. After death, the actin and myosin start to combine and weave causing the meat to become rigid. Preparation and cooking are just ways to help reduce or increase the effects.

WHAT?!
TBH its the most delicious thing you'll never regret eating it! Balut is a special delicacy that the Spanish has given to the Philippines, i heard that we exports some. Well balut is a egg of a duck (but the originally it is chicken) they incubated the egg for 14 days and then steamed blasted till they cant see light through it. You can find a balut stand in every corner of the philippines, some of they are mobile and are riding on bicycles.
My only advise to you when you are dared to eat something like that, close your eyes, put salt in it and add their extreme hot vinegar.
I'm watering mouth now...

Eh, if I was ever offered a chance to try balut, I would (always interested in the stranger side of food) ... I'm not knocking it, just saying it just looks a bit weird to me ...lol

Yeah this has gone way too far. At first I felt bad for the fish but then I remembered animals are eaten alive all the time. Especially when Bear Grylls gets hungry.
