Sucks though that they delayed the PC release. Was the only game that I actually wanted this holiday.

I haven't played on HD at all, well once or twice. It looks good enough on a normal screen and I'm not some rich biatch that can get a HD screen right when they got released =p But now I go from normal to full HD so yeah 8) Screen is like 66 cm so it's not that big but well, alot bigger wouldn't fit in my room haha.

Are you going to make me play this game too RuYi?

But seriously I really want to play this game but I already spent enough on another. I guess this game can wait until the holidays and then get it for a present for christmas or my birthday. The game does look awesome though, hopefully it isn't as parallel as the previous game. But from what I have read it sounds like it is not.

The combat is the same, you do have a few new assassination possibilities but like almost all counters that I saw were the same as in the first game. Story line is great for now, I'm not that far into the game yet I think ^^ I like the option where you can upgrade your hometown and make it better and shit.

The controls are different and took a while to get used to, you can use health pots (medicin shit in that age ofc) for instance. Weapon switching changed etc. But it's easy to use now I'm used to it :) I also love the option to distract guards and shit using groups that you hire : )

Great game overall atm, can't wait to continue tonight.

Combat and the counters being the same is what killed the first game for me. So this will be a pass.

I must say that this game is a bit stealthier than the first. I used alot more stealth where I wasn't able to in ACI. You can't expect the combat to be the different everytime, isn't it the same in CoD? Shoot people, move up, shoot people, move up etc etc? Also the counters, you expect they can fit in 300 counters for every weapon? That would be a bit over the top.

Yes you get surrounded and they attack one for one so you can just block and counter everything, but like I said, the combat is the same in almost every game. I should try it out first. The story is well worth it, the views are great and the gameplay is not as repetitive as the first one.

Yup. c:

MrJoey wrote:So, any feedback yet?

This game is fantastic.

MrJoey wrote:Combat as repetitive?

I say, no. You have way more moves, more weapons, and you'll need them with the diverse enemies.
You have more melee attacks, after grabbing someone, you can choose between treating him on a punch, a knee, a head butt or you can throw him into a breakable object to kill him. You have more weapons to use, you can even disarm enemies and use their own weapons against them. You can even fight with a broom!
In the first AC, you could pretty much handle it all with just your sword, but AC2 is really different. The guard with the halberd, how are you going to harm him with your sword? Your little arms wouldn't be able to reach. Well unless you decide to run into the damn thing, which isn't too advisable. So you need to disarm him first. Agiles are quick, they'll keep on avoiding your attacks, but if you keep on attacking them, they'll get tired, and then is when you have to strike.

Don't feel like fighting? Hire mercenaries to do your dirty work. Hire thieves to harass and hire courtesans to distract.

MrJoey wrote:Story line as good as first?

I don't know. I thought the first game had a really good story line, and this one seems to match it in quality. Ezio has more of a personality, you learn more about him than Altaïr. You'll also learn a lot more about the historic people, buildings, and even your enemies. It's just more in depth.

Desmond's story is also continued, and unlike in the first game where I didn't really care about him and just wanted to rush back to continue Altaïr's adventure, his role is a bigger one, and more interesting, too. Also, remember the scribbling in blood at the end of the first game? You'll see this back in AC2. Really neat sequel.

I recommend everyone to play this game, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The developers listened to the community and greatly improved their game from the first Assassin's Creed.
Which I already thought was a great game.

Lol it took me quite some counters before I saw a new counter ruyi. Also you can now block with your hidden blade so it's even easier to just stand there and counter everything with it. I mean, it's still a must have IMO but meh, they could've made that better.

Yeah. You can just stand there and counter everything. If you want to. But it's an option. In my opinion, they put much more moves and new things combat wise, and I don't think it's fair to blame the game if a gamer is playing the lazy way and only uses counters because 'it's easier'.

Why would I waste my time slapping some npc's till they get tired >.< It's not even fun IMO, just counter and be done with it. And yes I did use combo's but they were still the same everytime, so after you use them once or twice the fun's over for me.
