Most anticipated movies?

Post by devilti »

so what are some rumors, facts about upcoming movies. i don't mean near future but in 2010?

i cant wait for the sequel to Meet the fockers
Alice in wonderland
Ironman 2
Shrek

It seems like people are running out of imagination, adn are only making sequels or remakes...
Any anticipated movies?

edit* I heard about a Arrested Developement movie. Hopefully its not a rumor...
boyaka boyaka.

My list of summer/holiday popcorn movies I'm looking forward to see. Mostly a mashup of science fiction, superheroes, and fantasy (except for Shutter & Hangover). Don't really have much interest in most of them right now. Just typical hyped-up movies with a tentative release year.

2010:
Shutter Island
Alice in Wonderland
Iron Man 2
Shrek Forever After
Toy Story 3
The Last Airbender
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I

2011:
Spiderman 4
Thor
The Hangover 2
Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom
Green Lantern
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II
The First Avenger: Captain America
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
The Hobbit
Untitled Star Trek Sequel

2012:
The Avengers
Newt
King of the Elves
Untitled Hobbit Sequel

As for this year, the only one I'm really looking forward to is Avatar. Really excited for that movie.

yeah lol. I just realized that.
they ahve to stop all these franchises.
Pirates was successful, but it should be over. Same with spiderman. Alot of sequels that make the original look bad. With the only exception of the LoTR.

They should focus on more philosophical themes, and have more movies with a message, something emaningful to it than just crap.
boyaka boyaka.

These type of movies are usually not as hyped up as the ones that I listed. No B-movies or popcorn movies. These are also the ones that I would really want to see - the ones that are worthy of multiple awards such as an Oscar.

Sadly, it's all about the money - obtained from catering to the largest amount of audience possible. That's why there's more anticipation on movies like Twilight than something like The Lovely Bones.

[This is all not to say that all summer movies lack in the Academy department]

gawd dammit when the fawk are they gonna make a metroid movie!?!?! i have been waiting like 15+ years for that shit. after the devastating piles of shit movies that they have made from video games/comics certainly by now they can take an epic game like that and make a decent movie out of it.
