You can't just base definitions solely on outcomes.
A child was diagnosed with cancer and the tumor was surgically removed = Person recovers
A man was diagnosed with tuberculosis and was given antibiotics = Person recovers
A woman contracts swine flu and proceeded taking bed rests and water therapy = Person recovers
The outcomes are the same but one shouldn't ignore the causes, diagnoses, and treatments.
I'm not going to define mass-murdering and serial-killing for you. If you asked yourself and actually opened a dictionary or googled it, you wouldn't be asking the question.
I just can never equate the Holocaust with the Zodiac murders. I find that it grossly misrepresents the magnitude of the action if you just lump both of them together and conclude that "In the end innocent people die anyway..."
If you feel like basing definitions on such a general outcome, go ahead.
