I always get stuck thinking up names for a new character. Would be nice if we had a list here. Post Names you had or seen before that you think are cool, funny or even terrible. Ill start

I try to find names from books or movies for instance:

WANT3D (from the movie wanted)
Capitani ( from a book)
Vhaerun( from a book)

or just kinda play around like

Xx_Killa_xX or something like that

i looked at google translate, and since i was making a chinese s/s with light, i looked up lightning and came up with Shan_Dian xD My rogue/warlock is called LocK_n_RocK.

While most people might like to create names based on the character (you know, warriors based on names from anime series, wizards named Merlin) I like to create names from other things:

Laundry detergents (Gain_42)
Sweeteners (_Equal_, sParTame)
Beer and pop names (Gu1nness, Old_Milwocky)
stupid stuff (Del_LP)
Books (SoLngTx4Fish) - douglas adams FTW

Yes, some of those are taken as I've created 'em.

i know its not hard to google name generator because of i already done it. the purpose of this topic was to show people your creativity and have fun doing it and maybe help some. So please stop insulting me>.<

That name generator is surprisingly good. What I usually do, I grab a Merriam-Webster's English dictionary and search for fancy words. That turns out well

With my current character i have a really cool name, which is even mentioned ingame:

If you walk around Punishment Valley, you will get following as description for the area:

"A valley made by god to punish the dark warlock Calibria, who challenged him." or something similar to that. And as my current character is a warlock/cleric, i just picked the name "Calibria" as my IGN. It's an awesome name for a warlock, as it is even related to silkroad.

But usually i just pick some names from my favourite books.
