pure int is not good for a spear unless you are only gonna nuke but mostly spear is a hybrid build to help with the use of spear skills and increase the hp upon your hp increase passive.

Either way is good. Most choose hybrid because your survivability with spear's already pretty low: you can even die in maxed snow shield against certain builds if you are a pure int, and are reckless.

Pros: Higher Magical Damage (nukes will do more) Can Support a Higher Snow Shield Increased Magical Defense

a hybrid can have a maxed snowsheild its not like they are a heavy hybrid saying he does 7:1 i dont think he will have a problem supporting it especially with some added blues.

go hybrid if you dont have silk/buy gold, pure if you do :S
not really a good way to base it from except how you like to play
but a pure int spear without good set/silk items will be 1 hit buy most euro chars and not much better to chinese str, euros mostly have cleric subs or warlock subs (unless the char isnt a pvp based build) and those 2 subs basically dominate chinese int chars. cleric has absolute damage which is high enough to take out pure int chars in 1 or 2 hits and no amount of def will stop it outside a block/or simply having enough hp to live through it, snow shield wont stop cleric's absolutes either. warlock subs well they just beat up on chars without holyword...
chinese strs can tank snow shield fairly well now, galvie has def buff, blade has kd, bow has kb to spam...
vs chinese ints, pure or hybrid pvp is entirely play style. pure int hits harder but has less hp, so it might bring a hybrid int close to death in 1 hit, but the same is true when hybrid hits pure int. hybrid hits lower but pure int has less hp so a slightly lower damage hit still takes a lot out of a pure int.
Bro make a 5:1 ss hybrid, they really own a lot in pvp. And 100bich/fire and cold is the way to go. And if you wanna be a spear hybrid, Make 3:1/4:1 with 100Heuk/fire and mixed with light and cold.And pure int hits less with phy skills than a 3:1 or a 4:1 hybrid, from my own experience.And you can kill players without crits, and crits just speed up's the fight that your ending.
and I want to go heuksal 100/fire 100/cold 100.
