Hello,
so im going to make a 9:1 int hybrid but i never made a hybrid cuz i used to play with euro chars but i got bored of them. 9:1 means i need to put 90*3 int and 10*3 str? or just 10 str?

All these ratios you see are based on per cents. 9:1 = 90%:10%, so when you have 300 points in total it's exactly as you said yourself; "90*3 int 10*3 str" because that is 270/30 aka 90%:10%.
By adding just 10 to str it would make your char 9,7:0,3 hyb.. well it's not a hybrid anymore lol.

So a 1:5 hybrid is 10% str & 50% int? lawl
ratio is ratio
1:9 -> 1str & 9int (for every 9int u add, u add 1str point)
1:7 -> 1str & 7 int (for every 7int u add, u add 1str point)
and u only have 297points at cap100, not 300
297 points with a 1:9 ratio -> 29str & 268int OR 30 str & 267 int
297 points with a 1:7 ratio -> 37str & 260int
how to calculate:
str+int (from ratio; eg. 1+9 or 1+7) = x
total points(297 at cap 100)/x = amount of str
total points - amount of str = amount of int

Someone missed a math class or a few...
The total is always 100% no matter how many points there is or what the ratio is. 1:5 would be 16,7% str 83,3% int which magically appears to give same result as the "for every 5 int you add, you add 1 str point".
If ratio is just a ratio, how do you build a model of something like a building then? For every 400 bricks you add 1 brick to your model lol? OR maybe you measure the actual building and then find out by using %'s what size your model needs to be to achieve a 1:400 ratio.
Edit: Only thing I had wrong in my last post was the amount of the total stat points... so the OP has to choose between 29 and 30 str and put rest to int. And once again, ratios are based on pure %

If ratio is just a ratio, how do you build a model of something like a building then? For every 400 bricks you add 1 brick to your model lol? OR maybe you measure the actual building and then find out by using %'s what size your model needs to be to achieve a 1:400 ratio.

This is what I were referring to in the first two sentences of my last reply. You're basically claiming that I'm wrong somehow and also that ratios cannot be changed into per cents.

I put the model thingy there as an example to show that it's harder to use a correct ratio without changing it into per cents.

1st option if they want to know the total amount of str/int with that build
2nd option if they want to know what to do in game to achieve that build
For calculating the stat points you simply multiply 297 with 0,167 to get the str or 0,833 to get the int which isn't any harder than other methods.
As a last question I'd like to ask:
Why is it so hard to accept that we both are right except for the part I quoted?
