Yngwie malmsteen if you are into that, super fast riffs and shredding
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T11XZUGZp3g theres also a spanish guitarist from a band called rata blanca(white rat lol) and does an awesome solo called preludio obsesivo (obsesive prelude) quite a guitar beast
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T11XZUGZp3g music transcends the boundary of language.\
Also many good riffs are in spanish speaking bands. listen to "la chispa adecuada" by heroes del silencio or "la leyenda del hada y el mago" by mago de oz. And if u dont like that kind of music mutch try something like chuck berrys' "johnny B goode" and fly like Marty McFly xD.
If u wanna go classical u could also check out classical gas by mason williams needs quite the finger ability and u could try the red hot chilli peppers "roat tripping" makes a good party song and its really enjoyable to play.

Dragonforce is only good if you listen to their studio recordings; if you watch any of their live shows, your ears will bleed and you'll probably end up being completely disappointed.
My guitars have been collecting dust for like 2 years now; kinda makes me want to start playing again.

Can't be bothered to find good Robert Fripp guitar play. Or Frank Zappa's, Adrian Belew's and many others for that matter.
And lol.. What I can never explain to any power/prog mettaler is that speed =/= talent. Guitarwork is far from bad but disagreeing with a power/prog metal kid that it's not the best and most talented solo ever is going through hell as they are mostly very stubborn (not directed to anyone in here).

Good one Roque but not my favorite from him. I think a few people including myself already posted some Hendrix.

I'm currently learning YYZ by Rush on Bass, I got the overall timing and note sequence in place. Just got to mix them together to make a nice bowl of Bass Guitar sexiness.
Here's the live version of the song:
Code: Select all
NEED MOAR BASS SOLOS. (Also a very skillful Drum solo towards the end.)
Carbine: - 2.2m SP (Done)
