Internet Connection Help
Ok, up to this point I have been able to tolerate my connection. But for some reason now it has crossed the limit. When I join lobbies in Cod4, it shows me with no mic in the lobby. Then, after a few seconds it says balancing teams/finding host. After it does this for 6 seconds, I get booted.
But, this is not it! I do get in games, but I usually have 3 bar or 2 bar. It gets really annoying have lag like this all the time. People also say I break in and out when I am talking via microphone, and they can't understand me.
I tested my xbox connection, and everything went right! What is wrong with my connection? My parents say we have a high speed connection, and that "comcast is trying to fix the internet speed of our area."
Should I try changing IP addresses? Will that do anything?
FYI, my xbox is directly connected to my internet connection and I am not using WiFi.
Thanks.

Re: Help yoooo
About that, they did say they were working on it. At least that is what my parents said. About the NAT idea from Gaige, what do you mean?

Re: Help yoooo
Do yourself a favor ditch Comcast! I have had so many problems w/ them it isn't even funny.
Do a speed test on your net http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest
Here lately I have been only getting around 500-900kbps... and others have complained about the same problems. I am canceling mine and switching to AT&T soon.

Re: Internet Connection Help
Ok, a little better from a different part of my house.

But still, I don't get the horrible connection over xbox when it is directly connected via LAN. I will try to do what Gaige mentioned but right now I don't know the password. Anyone have any other ideas?
