And you know by now that the sad truth of the matter is that everyone bots, whether or not they admit it. Hell, I heard you guys got kicked out of another version of SRO (was it vSRO? tSRO? cSRO?) for messing with the Asians and their bots on their own version of Silkroad. That gives me so much lulz; you have no idea.

One guy in some other thread even said that cSRO people bot; but they have to use a "Joymax Approved Bot" or something of the sort to do it.

If you really are legit; good for you (although I highly doubt your claims), but I bet you that the people here who still play do bot, regardless if they get caught or not.

Its funny how I notice a lot of people here are in denial of the state of this game. Like lets say someone shows off a full-farmed Lv 100 Chinese character on SRF; do you REALLY think, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he/she is legit 100%? I doubt it, really I do. In my opinion, if you think otherwise, you are just pulling the veil over your eyes.

Why do I think that? Because I've not met one Lv 100 china char that never ever botted before. It is just the way the game is now... no, the way the game HAS been for quite some time now. The Legit Crusades died out, the leaders turned out to be botters themselves; which is the biggest irony of it all.

Do not mistake this as a pro-bot statement; that is not the intention at all, but there are just some truths, as hard as it is to bear, that must be accepted. It is just how the game is now, and you know Joymax isn't going to do anything (reference from another thread about being a JM employee, saying something about how they can't do anything about in-game problems cause it's making a profit for Joymax itself...) about it, so why bother bitching and moaning on a website that really has no jurisdiction on how Silkroad is ran anyway?

Anyway, that's just my two cents. If you don't like it, try other games. Take your business elsewhere.

ok i say bad idea bcoz:
1>majority of sro bots, its no secret, GD is for discussing things happening in SRO, bots are happening in SRO. I dont mean we should become a bot forum or we should advertise bot names, just that banning the word bot is useless. If you can ban the bot names then its good but otherwise i see no point.
2> This is extremely similar to people banning the word sex from schools,movies,etc to prevent underage kids from getting wrong idea's or going to bad internet sites and stuff. I think most of us know that it didnt work and eventually it started becoming common practice to openly discuss sex with young people to give them proper education and remove any misconceptions they may have and prevent ant possible mistakes they might make.

TL;DR
i dont agree with banning the word bot or bot related topics(that discuss but do not advertise bots)

Topics like this are the reason this game is a phail. You don't think that someone can guess 3 little *** as BOT?

Flame wars will continue on until massive temp bans are considered on those starting the flame war. Which on this forum is regular and thus everyone shall be banned in the end!

And if that starts NO ONE shall be exempt like EB! lol

I've recently cut down saying that cause I'm getting indirect warnings but I'm quite sure that when a lvl 100 chinese comes here, anyone who sticks around long enough would know what I actually wanna say but can't =p.

There are many Ofy's on this forum.

Soon there will only be mods left I guess. Oh and fuuckin closet bortlyalars

it's called innocent until proven guilty.. not just "they're mods, they win"
let's just lock all the murder suspects away for a crime, only one of them probably did it.. but until proof is provided that they didn't do it, let em all rot in jail together!

Everyone knows that they probably bot, but if you don't have proof.. keep it to yourself or get warnings as you have.

I do temp ban people for bot accusations and flaming. Anywhere from 24 hours to 7 days, I use permanent bans sparingly. Perma-banning someone for bot accusation sends the wrong message.
