What's the first thing you do in a MMO?

I just wing it. I don't like reading about a game before hand. I find it refreshing to stumble and discover things along the way. Even if I mess up a char build, it'll be a fun experience to talk about later on.

The very first thing I do after logging into a new MMO is search Google for every single hack/exploit/cheat/code that I can possibly find for the game and test them all out!

Kidding. Really I just explore the menus, interface, familiarize myself with some of the controls, and run around talking to different NPCs to see where things are. Then I'll pick up a quest if I find one, or just run out killing stuff and go on from there.

First thing I do in a new mmo is get severely pissed off. Walking into a new mmo is like going to a different country with an entirely different culture and language. Also, nothing pisses me off more than to not know where 1 single npc is located, nor their names, or their titles. So I have no choice but to be to total newb and either wonder until I get sick of the game or ask questions and hope that im either answered, or not mocked for my newbness.

Also, I check to see if inventory is the letter "I" or "B" then I realize what the general layout will be for the keymapping. But I always forget anyways and pound the wrong button to bring up my inv.

Sign up with a test account, download client (if needed), install client, log in, create newb characters, test them. After that if I like the game I create a new account, if I don't like it I just dump the old account and un-install the game.

then i go and look for any guides or something to see builds and that .. do my research and find out what char does what basically and youtube that

i prefer to play a char i love looking at

then i look more on there website about high lvl stuff to see what i will eventually look like.

install the game.

then forget what ive read up about and let it go all tits up around me as i screw my build up

Then figure out what u can do with all those npcs and start leveling and doing quests.

Perfect World, at first it was cofusing but i got how to play it and got borred. When i played that i was so borred that i always managed to sleep on my keyboard.

Those games that i've played was way too boring for me to play so i quit. And yet never regret about it DD

I go outside and check the attack animation and/or time intervals of it from start to finish, once i get bored outside or decide to finally get a hold of more controls and what not (if i still haven't figured out the basics from grinding).
