Firefox or Google Chrome?

Post by Puma60 »

Which one do you use? And which one do you prefer? I just downloaded Google Chrome today, looks pretty good, but not sure if I should stick to good old Firefox.

EDIT: Just noticed Chrome has a spell check on it too lol!

Chrome is just a clean and simple and really quick browser.

But if you want extras / addons and whatever go with FF.

I prefer chrome.

Lack of plug-ins is the real deal breaker for me. Chrome and Safari on Mac are so much faster than Firefox but it would be anally retentive of me to switch just to save a few seconds of loading time while sacrificing functionality in the process.

If you just want speed, go with Chrome. If you want a shitload of useful add-ons, go for Firefox.

I've started to use opera, love it. The unfortunate thing is it doesn't allow some keyboard shortcuts. (like if a browser game uses '1' for movement or something it doesn't work) However, besides that, it's awesome. Never crashes, has built in torrent, mail, etc. etc. etc. However, it's not worth getting opera unless you're going to get the latest version from opera desktop rather than the normal opera website. (Also, it's bookmark manager makes it alphabetized by default, it's the little things that get me)

A lot. My favorite one is Download Helper. There's also Cooliris, foxtab, interclue, lazarus, flagfox and more.

Spoiler!

Interclue lets you see a preview of any link/button if you hover your mouse over the tiny icon next to them. flagfox tracks the ip and displays which country the website is from. lazarus stores whatever you type so you can easily restore it in case you close your browser by accident (you can delete the logs).

there's a lot more if you want to check them out.
