I Know, font is (again) very bad choise, and I messed up with the colors, but comments anyone? and rate too pls

Kay' as im the ass i will comment it. You won't hear good words, i will say what you did wrong, and what you did right.
Let us proceed.
First thing that i see in sig is background, it's too bright you could blur it a bit ~25 opacity soft round brush. It is too bright, you could also play with burn and dodge tools to make depht effect.
C4d is whored, you used too much of it, suggestion is to use little pieces of C4d it will look way better. Also C4d doesn't look good. It would look much better if it was behind the anime character with normal 100 opacity. It would gave effect that C4D comming right from behind.
Background and render don't look good with each other, next time when you do that kinds of the sigs use some Cold filter, or gradient map to give it more realistic look.
Text. Text is also need to be work on. Right now it's just a text without any work. My point is you should work at text eighter.
So i can wish you a luck in forward works.

A few things wrong...
A) wtf is with the sizes of your sigs? 325x125 or so max, what you have is just too freakin huge
- why?--because the background is overwhelming
- secondly, because there is so much background it is too repetitive and boring (this wont always be, with time and more talent you will find ways to make the background beautiful no matter how much of it there is.)
B) Text needs to be different and moved closer to the render
C) I couldn't find a C, but because im an ass there is a C, congratulations...

A few things right...
A) the render is nearly right, it has action, it has some contrasting color, yet it needs to abide by the rule of thirds, anyway...not bad
B)c4d usage is better, but would like to see more
C) I gave you a wrong C so here is a right C...


Ok so now that I've calmed down, its not bad considering what I did when I first started, you are on a decent path.

Try moving away from anime/manga and into gaming renders or real images. Ditch the picture backgrounds and use solid colors as a starting point.

I could add to that, that text should be near focal point. Text can't disctract from focal. Keep that in mind

1)Again, the background is 'messy'
2)And i think u messed up the layers again :O

Don't see a problem with the canvas size, problem is when someone makes every one of theirs like 500x80, that's pretty hard to work on and hard to define anything
Depth is lacking but it would be pretty hard to make any now.. Only way imo is to make some foreground effects and burn the edges
And don't blur anything, you want your effects sharp and appealing
Oh and guys, you don't have to start your comment with 'ok I'm an ass blablabla', chill.

You can use a soft black brush as well, but use it wisely. >_>

I have been using Soft black/white brush with opacity up to 20 max (depents on the looks). After i found burn&dodge tool never used those again

There's nothing wrong with a big canvas size, its just a matter of composition.

All I can say, seeing as your a little new to the GFX'ing scne is it lacks depth, so it makes it look flat. Keep it up though and keep practicing.

On the side note, I recommend downloading Photoshop and start experimenting with tutorials. I'm not exactly sure how far you can get with GIMP.

Most people in here are giving constructive criticism. But you are acting like an asshole and thinking that you are better than everyone and know more about photoshopping than everyone else which is not true. You are still novice (I'm not saying that I'm better than you).

Also I'm not saying that you are not allowed to rate works here. But you could do it in less agressive way.

So, you are saying that i can't joke, and yes i saw that TheKnight is using GIMP, i assume that it's almost the same, because i believe Gimp has burn dodge tools as well, if not throw at me a shoe!

I see that we have very different opinnion on what is constructive criticism. How I see things is that you are supposed to act as teacher when it comes to rating sigs. You are not supposed to make ironic or even sarcastic jokes about artist who has just started creating something we could call art.

Also by looking at your statement you obviously didn't know that he was using GIMP. Since GIMPs toolbar is completely different from PS'.

Telling stuff like that is not cool man..... Find another way of 'expressing your opinion' and cut the flaming as it doesn't make you seem badass, it makes you look like a really spoiled kid. Tell me whats wrong with my criticizm, i did not said anything bad or insulting, just a small review of my thoughs. Please, undermark any bad words in first comment of this topic i really would like to see.
By the way im rating sigs the way i rate in other forum, others do exactly the same. I simply criticize main things that i liked and disliked about the work, but as far as i see my posts are like little time bomb, everyone starting to freak out and posting dumb comments. And if you really insist i will not express my thoughs on .Banshee's and your works. Happy?
