I've never had a energy drink, never really felt the need. I guess if I want a bit of a boost I'll drink some coke or maybe some mocha, but really, never had one.

Alcohol is not an energy drink btw....it's a depressant, de-energizes you if anything.

Monster tastes awesome. I try to avoid unnecessary sugar though. If I need energy to workout I take 30 grams of Waxy Maize Starch (Pure Carbohydrates) 10 minutes preworkout.

Never had an energy drink ever. Would like to try one if it's like sugar water or...liquid candy. I can't drink soda, carbon doesn't go well with acid reflux.
