PK System?

hi, i really want to play this game, but i hate open,free pk systems..
i read around and it seems like the only pvp system is the trader,hunter,thief and the "cape" or "cap" ...
i also read on another site that this game does have a free pk system where you can attack anyone and receive pk points.. but that was from a 2007 post.. so have silkroad changed the system now so that it is only the "capes" or the triangular thing?
is the triangular thing required to really be good in this game?
can someone explain exactly everything about the pk system?

there's 3 forms of PVP in SRO (as far as I can remember atm)

1. Triangular Conflict-Your either hunter, trader, thief. Traders obviously trade goods from point to point, hunters protect traders and thieves...commit robbery.

2. Cape PVP-you basically put on an item (Cape) and fight someone else who also has a cape.

3. Murder (PK, or w/e you wanna call it)-After lvl 20 you can PK or get PKed by other players, you are not required to wear any job suits or capes. You can also PK anyone, eg. traders with suit on, players with capes on and normal players. But if you commit murder you receive PK points and other related consequences.


so in a way, yes, it is an open PK game
