Music on ear phones - too loud?
Hai! So, I use my Phone as my MP3 Player/iPod, I turn it on pretty much every time I leave the house, with ear phones obviously. Anyway until today I have been using these Sony Ericsson in-ear head phones, and have my volume set just over half way (6 bars out of 10). Then today I bought some different in-ear headphones that magnifies the sound, so it sounds almost 3D, stronger bass etc. Im just wondering if I should turn it down a little, because I'm worried I'll damage my ears, even though it's not that loud at all.
Anyone else damaged their ears by having their music on too loud with ear phones?

anything louder then a slight raised voice can damage your ear so raise your voice (not shouting just talk louder then normal) thats how high it should be to not damage your ears

in ear headphones are horrible for you, you know when you hear a high pitched ringing for no reason? thats your ears losing the capacity to hear some frequencies.

It's called Tinnitus. AKA your ear cells' death cries.
Paul Gilbert has a fucked up case of this, that's why he normally wears headphones when he plays nowadays.

Lol I used to listen using my headphones at 100% but I went down to around 70%-80% after I started using earphones. Especially since the girlfriend sent me a nice new pair of skullcandies.

I agree, it's like earlier tonight my mate was driving me home with his chavy dance music playing loudly on the CD player, and his window down. Everytime we drove past a group of people on the street, he kept turning the volume up to max, then as soon as we past, he turned it back down.
I was like, OMG what a fucking loser. Face palm moment.
