bots use somekinda optimistic codes that control the game .. those codes are made by somekinda editor .. that edites UP-Codes sent to the Game server...
so.. every game connects to it's server through a port .. it's also known as BrutePort. in my company .. we use 158.155.1~9

so.. bot must change it to take control .. so it changes to 6548220~229

the problem is.. sometimes the server gets laggy .. and send the information wrong.. like 65482545***
this makes us get nervous.. so we ban the sending ip.. that may cause " BANNING SPREE "
that's what joymax made.. as i know .. joymax created it's servers since 1999.. so they got oldy and laggy...
another evidence.. the newly made server " helios " is still crowded . why ? because it's newly made.. and it's impossible to get wrong codes from it..

but alright, things have worsened sensibly as venus was below 2500 since the inspection.

anyway it's been an eye opener, quite surprising to see the botless post-inspection period lasting three days instead of three hours.

As for the numbers of players of sro... definitely not many. A few thousands.

We were at 2/3 since the "legits" left Venus in july.

today saturday is the fourth day since the inspection

things are not gone back to "normal" (bot-infested and super-crowded)

the venus server is full but accessible
it is 17:00 europe time on a saturday and you can login in a few minutes

rev6 is currently listing 60% PoC (probability of connexion) for venus and 100% for many servers

i'd still like to know what JM has done to produce such a result

as we were commenting ingame with several people, maybe JM did that to look good for the championship.

Also, it is kind of insulting if they only did that to show off to some people before letting things get back to overcrowded.

We'll see, i'm not harboring any expectations nor even hope (that would be masochistic), but I'm keeping a tiny possibility in my mind that JM might go on on that anti-bot way. Tiny, but not null.
