no one will know your user name or secret answer without telling them. the roll back rolled back everything. password changes, items, exp sp. it helped place purchased characters BACK into the hands of the buyers. showing joymax's support for defying their own tos. i know you arent dense prom, infact youre quite the opposite. wheres this shit coming from?

Ah the joys of social engineering. Of course no one will know your answers without you telling them, or being tricked into at least hinting at the answers enough for them to guess it.

As for placing accounts back in the hands of buyers, it could go either way. I could buy an account from you. I change the password so it's 'truely mine'. You 'hack' me by changing the password back. Joymax rolls back and the account is 'mine' again. Alternatively, I buy the account, I change the password. You don't 'hack' me. Joymax rolls back. The account is returned to you, not me.

Personally, I think the email verification system is a good thing to have. It's an extra step beyond simply asking for your user ID and secret answer. It's just unfortunate that by Joymax rolling back to actually use that system again, that it had the side effect of giving some accounts BACK to account buyers (instead of leaving it with the seller who 'hacked' them). The system should still be in place. There should just be other controls in place to prevent the selling of accounts in the first place.

Most interesting thing about this situation is that we are still wondering. This seems like a legitimate attempt to get rid of the bots considering that the servers are still not full. I think if it was a new update we wouldve heard by now that the bots need to be updated.

apparently the only free bot there was just went pay 2 use..so now the goldbots need to wait until another free bot comes out, lets hope that never happens!

they cant run 500 clients safely on 1 pc with a normal bot. they need a special low cpu usage bot... its probably a problem updating that one..

half was like a year ago. Now it's down to 25% or so.

this of course was on venus. anyoner server it has been about 8% for quite some time

I lol'd hard... at all the ppl thinking JM banning bots would help... silly nobs

They do the same exact shit every year. Ban 10-30k bots at a time, server gets populated every week from Mon-(Wed-Fri) than they come back. Now they're not even perma banning. So after a week or 2 they all come back in waves. Woo! If you want a bot-free SRO, go make your own private server.

Here's a summary for all you nobs getting excited:
1) Never IP ban, JM too lazy/dumb.
2) Goldbots will be back within a week.
3) Server only stay populated in part due to the popular free bot used by many going pay 2 use.
4) JM does this every year, learn to pick up trends.
5) After a month or so, JM will go back to ignoring bots and pretend all is good.

I've yet to see some actual high lvl players get banned, like perma banned. This new system just makes it seem like they're doing something, but they could easily ban bots 1-2 times than ignore them. We'll still get ban lists of over 10-30k ppl, but they will just come back in a week or so.

lol, every post that is an attempt to show that joymax is trying or at least making some attempted effort , you weasel your way in and bash it somehow ..why do you even still play?..really.. you have nothing positive to say about the game and its staff.. maybe its time for you to make the switch to Aion or WoW

My bad, let me put some sprinkles over everything. JM is working VERY VERY hard. They have taken tremendous steps since I started over 4 years ago. Bots are almost gone now and only a few high lvl playerbots remain, but they are not safe. Everyone who ever wondered about JM should trust in them again and give them as much money as you can buy buying silk and playing once more. Bots are gone forever and JM are now planning a wonderful event for us to participate in. YAY! JM

Ironic thing is, I never realized there were other bots besides the iSRO and AG bot until I visited this forum. I was under the impression that you had to pay big $$$ to use a safe bot like iSRO, or risk it all and use a shitty one like AG from rev6. Now I know all about loaders, sbot, and sroking. Yay legit community!

That's usually proven incorrect by people who post something contradicting something someone else posted, or asking a question someone else answered. People are lazy and often just read the first post, and hit reply. I use an SOS blade.
