DVD+RW Drive Help With DVD-R

Well I just drove to BestBuy and bought a cheap Verbatim DVD-R 50 pack and well I have a DVD+RW Drive and the drive is not detecting the disc, I was planning to back-up some important stuff on here from this old computer before I wipe it clean, any solutions, and thanx for the help

Cheap stuffs are cheap.
Check the lens or the DVD itself. (mayeb its scratched or soemthing)

meh the DVD is clean, i've tried a few, and idk bout the lens :/

If it still reads other discs I'd say you probably got some funky format or something.

yup, it reads every other type, i dont think i've ever tried DVD-R be4 though

Stick a Movie DVD and see if that works, if not your dvd drive is bad

your dvd drive prob doesnt support it -R, not that rare if your pc is somewhat old
