I decided to link since I know some of you are having a hard time finding the clip.

Btw I dont think it was that big of a deal since the guy was drunk and was obviously voicing out the little truth in his heart. The problem is that he did so almost making her feel undeserving of that award and there she was having to stand in front of all those people with the guilt and the knowledge that she was perhaps not good enough to receive that award, and that is what really made the entire situation suck in my eyes whether Kanye intended it or not, that being said I'll repeat that he was drunk and I am not holding some drunk moron accountable for something stupid he/she may say ( actions are different and so are words that lead to them ).

Drunkenness is not an excuse for any behavior. It may be a reason, but not an excuse. He choose to drink, he allowed himself to be intoxicated to the point where he would do stupid things, and you can't just go he's was drunk so he's not accountable. Its not an excuse when you're drunk driving, fighting, whatever...I get drunk and i don't do whatever the **** i feel like it and if i happened to break or ruin something while intoxicated i would be held responsible. I'd like to see how many parties i get invited to if i just said "I was drunk so im not accountable for that window i broke"...

That's just my opinion on drinking. I don't really care what he did to taylor swift, its the VMAs, the artist has little control on the outcome or quality of the video its mostly the choreographer, the director, and the cinematographer, but they don't look as good on stage and they're not celebrities so they don't get the award...the whole thing is ridiculous.

I almost feel like you misunderstood what I said, I am not excusing his actions just couse he was drunk or specially couse he was drunk, what I am saying is that if you or any1 happen to be drunk and come to my face and tell me my life is a failure and my mom is a whore I'll simple go heh and carry on with whatever I was doing. Now if you or any1 come into my house or any place I have authority over and brake a paperclip you can expect consequences whether you are drunk, insane, feeling extra special or were just having a bad day.

Lol what a pathetic excuse. I'm pretty sure he wasn't drunk from the looks of it - even if he had one too many, he would've been throwing up on stage or at least appear out of balance during the whole thing.

if alcohol loosens your tongue that much then you probably shouldn't drink that much. Words can leave scars too, sometimes worse than actions. I don't taylor swift was scarred and if she is then she's retarded but still i don't excuse a drunk mouth anymore than i excuse drunk actions.

I don't think anything he said was that important but had he gone on stage and said "Taylor swift only won cause she's a poor white c**t and MTV is racist" then i don't think it'd be so easy to go, heh no big. I understand drunk talk but i also understand that a drunk person attitude is basically their real personality 10x with no limits so if they're really an asshole at heart it'll come and depending on whats said in what context i'll shrug it off but its not a get out jail free card to say whatever you please...there is still some type of etiquette while drinking imo...

Nevermind the "drunk talk." If he said all of that to the guy sitting next to him, instead of actually walking up on stage, grabbing the mic, and announcing all that crap, then I might buy the whole "drunk" excuse. But he didn't. The guy was probably enraged and felt that MTV is full of shit (true, but still..), that combined with gigantic ego, caused him to do what he did. The sad part is that the he can't even admit to it and would rather make up a dumb excuse.

ONE SECOND HERE......

Didnt Kanye do this a few years back at the EVMA when he lost out to some randomly
unknown band (for best song or some such award) and went on stage and tried to take
their award/claim they were not good enough.

He wasnt drunk the and he still acted like a spoilt child. Someone really needs to
bring this guy down to earth.

Not reading any arguments or anything, but he was an idiot. If he was drunk, then it is still no excuse. An analogy of this would be, a drunk driving car accident. Do you want the person to get off easy with the excuse, "Oh, I was drunk, so for that set time period I was not accountable for my actions,"no that isn't correct.
