The day 9/11 happened a website called 'Ogrish' posted videos of people jumping out of the top floors windows and as they hit the floor they died instantly, was interesting to watch because im not scared by that sort of stuff, but what did make me think was thats someones child.
+1, this is so true. Just because something happens to america we are ment to celebrate or remember it?! LULZ!
First of all, you're not tough when you say you dont care about 9/11. It doesnt make you cool, it makes you cold. Second of all, read what I have to say to dom.

3 000 died on 9/11?
A loss nonetheless; but, in light of the children, it wouldn't be fair for me to show them any special treatment.
And if i'm getting all emotional about the ideal or symbolism of 9/11, then it has to be for the millions of affected arabs and thousands dead.
Wouldnt have expected something this narrow-minded from a mod.
Like you said, the number of people suffering and dying in Africa is pretty extraordinary. There are millions more suffering in parts of southern asia, and the middle east. Theres a lot of poor countries out there. Does this mean that we, and every other industrial, first-world country should be sorry for and remember the plight of hundreds of countries around the world? Thats not our responsibility.
It comes down to this - others dont care about our troubles. They have their own problems. Do you think some people around the world really give a shit about what happens in America? We certainly dont care about what happens to them, and it would be ludicrous to expect any concern for us at all. Special treatment? Try losing your mom to an accident and while you're mourning for her someone calls that giving her "special treatment"...
The United States isn't God. We give a small percentage of our budget to foreign aid and we are donors to the UN, but thats just about what we can do. You think the United States is poverty free? We have lots of homeless people on our hands and we still dont do enough for them. Americans take care of their poor American people. Kenyans take care of their own Kenyan people. Easy concept. We have our own country to run, and it should definitely not be our responsibility to take care of someone else's. We only do our best to fulfill our obligations as other human beings to help them without diverting too many resources that would prevent us from taking care of ourselves.
Pretty coldhearted to be talking numbers. I dont care if 10,000 people died in 9/11. I dont care if ONE person died. The point is that someone died...the fact that innocent people lost their lives and threw their families into grief is the reason why we remember 9/11.
