Hey, so i decided to not buy a laptop and build a desktop.
I'm thinking of getting a phenom II x2 dual core 3ghz and eventually unlock the other 2 cores and probably get the 965 later. Right now i am not very sure about the graphic card i was thinking of going for a 4850 but there's a 9800gtx for $119 and if i go with ATI crossfire i will probably save more for going with a AMD based GFX and processor.
So i wanted to know some input from you guys thanks

Well all I can say is that you're gonna need one big bad power supply to 'feed' that system.

Re: Desktop Suggestions
Be careful with unlocking those cores, i heard its possible but there a few things to consider.
For example you'll need a motherboard which is able too, and secondly you'll have to be lucky those 2 other cores are stable enough.
AMD didn't name it a dual core for nothing.. Maybe it was just a failed quad core where only 2 cores worked properly.
