Spain people are fucking bastards.
They told noone their whole country is infected with Swine Flu, so their season is saved - bringing them cash from tourists.
Loads of people coming back from Spain with it, how did you get it?

3 girls I knew were on vacation in Spain. When they returned I went on vacation with them. I think they might have infected, because one girl was almost pretty sure she had the swine flu.

i had the mexican flu too.. got it in spain. Never been so sick in my life before..

you're very, very sick for 2~3 days then it's over. Just lay in bed, drink lots of water and try not to infect some1 else

But its not really that bad. Actually this flu is "easier" to get over than many other kind of flu's

No sicker than the first time your body got the flu...Its still just influenza, just a different strain...the only real difference between this and normal influenza is that swine flu is more contagious. That doesn't mean your body will have a harder time fighting it off. Its new, that doesn't mean its stronger. My roommate had it and was bedridden for 3 days, im pretty sure i got it too but my only reaction was a sore throat which cleared right up. Different bodies will react differently but it won't make you any more sick than usual...

Just because your personal experiences tell you otherwise, the swine flu is a serious threat to countries right now and there's a reason why major countries and WHO are scrambling to vaccinate people. Its not fearmongering at all.

We're all young here - ages 14+ and I doubt anyone here is over 25. Your immune systems may easily fight it off but to malnourished people, the elderly and very young, it can be very dangerous. They don't have the strength your immune systems have. Dont get the wrong impression - you guys have been or are infected by something that is killing people right now.

And the swine flu isn't dangerous just because it can kill a few people - it has the potential to kill millions if the strain morphs into something that current vaccines cant handle and something that our bodies have never seen before. There's a reason why some people are comparing the swine flu to the influenza epidemic that occured during and after WWI.

Scientists and politicians might be wrong. This outbreak really might only infect several thousand people and vanish or be successfully treated with a vaccine. But once our government leaders and doctors start getting attitudes like some of you have here, we might really be faced with a serious epidemic and be totally unprepared.

You do realize that the normal flu kills thousands of elderly, malnourished, and very young kids every year too...

Same as swine flu....the only difference is since swine flu is new and people haven't built up a resistance to it they are more likely to catch it.

In other words...If you caught the normal flu and didn't have it vaccinated your chances of dying are just as high as if you were to catch swine flu and not have the vaccination...As you said most of us are fine. When we're saying not to panic we're not talking to old people or babies or starving people, we're talking to young moderately healthy ppl...no one in here should be panicking. No one in here is in danger of dying. The only people who should be worried are the people who would also be worried about normal flu
