hi I am going to build a new PC , never built one before, am nooby. So far I only researche for the parts and prices here is the propose system

I haven't shop for computer in a loongg time and I have not done it this way before anyway so I would like advice from your experience. If anyone knows a cheaper place to get these parts or if they can suggest a lesser cost component that will work for me. I like to try to get the cost down to around $600-650.

jabbers p55/core i5s are about to release, wait for that. you can expect some really good performance for dirty cheap and seeing as you are in the 140 range for gpus i would suggest you go with a 4870 1g ( better performance, high end market starts here ).

btw ati is releasing d11 cards next month and what this means for you is a possible price cut on current cards if that interests you, so keep that in mind as well = ).

It definitely is. Though DX11 cards will be coming soon, not sure how good the mid range cards will be though. Doubt DX11 will be enough to go crazy over anyway. 4870 is a good card, handles nearly all games perfectly.

Im thinking that the only thing to be had from the DX11 cards will be the lowered prices of all the other cards that will be considered "outdated". Not sure that you'll be able to afford a DX11 card at debut.

core i5 performs almost like x58 i7 for less than 350 USD ( mobo + cpu ). the fact that the platform released less than 1 week after i posted this just makes the following that much more fun to post.
