Wireless Internet Card help needed !!!!

Hello,

I have recently moved my gaming PC upstairs and as such have discoved that my
wireless card is rubbish as it cannot connect to my router downstairs. (I know
what am doing, but the single strength is almost nothing at all and so when
it does connect there is a limited connection), as such am thinking of buying a
new wireless internet card for my PC but not sure on which one that i should go
out and get. I found this one but not sure on it.

Any help/advise would be great

satman i would just move your pc near a window or somthing that normaly give you better signal strength if not move your router upstairs to your comp

Well dude If the window deal doesnt work it looks like that Wireless N card looks good, considering i bought a single non extended g card recently for $40 -_- Its only 34 bucks not bad either considering the hardware

Maybe a wireless signal extender, or maybe lan through the electricity wall sockets is an option, i don't have experience with either of them, they are just suggestions.

Make sure your router is an N router. Thats the only way you will get anything out of that card.

or if you want it now and u wanna be cheap:--

Take Aluminum Foil, wrap it into a bowl shape

Poke a whole in the bottom

Stick it through your Routers atenna

then point your direction


that should be the solution

its not in usd so its around $48.5724 says google

also don't cheap out on the card if you do its luck of the draw. just look for one of the big companies that sell the wireless cards. example D-link they have very nice wireless stuff.

Just make sure that you get the right type. N cards don't work with G routers and vice versa.

So thats a good choice? heres the router its going to be used on if i buy it. Mines the 1.1 version
