I would disagree. I'm sure you can kill quite a few, but with a good Prot set, and having Ice mastery, a hybrid would give you problems, I can garentee that.

I know it sounds arrogant but well...Everyone except a few bladers/warrior|clerics and sun users are beaten. I dunno why but my char is strong lol >.< it's probably cuz of the force. But yeah, it's useless when someone has holy word/spell and with 80 fire my dmg is too low to kill them without xD

About the crit thing, I tested my crit (im hibrid str) with the damage of some bow on the fembria highest damage, and the damage was pretty much the same (was higher but damage is not constant)

Maybe, maybe for 1 vs 1 pvp only... Because since the crit is the same and the overall dmg is higher, for group pvps (=jobbing) I think str hybrids are better.

Plus, about survivability I think you should consider the fact that there are many kinds of str hybrids

I'm sure somewhere are hybrid's that works out but for now...Every Str hybrid on Xian wasn't really good =/ And well...I think a pure str would work better in group fights since they can tank more (yes with a 80light/20cold build you got snow, or 100fire/100cold), while the ints do the damage.

I remember my old pure STR bower in iSRO was doing 7-8k strong bows to moles at lvl65, thats without crit, also with a sos+5 bow. I don't got solid proof of that though, i do have screens but not with any dmg

No offence but you'll regret missing about 5k HP at the cap while your base dmg will barely make any difference

Hmmm. Base dmg is rather different I would have to say. I am currently enjoying KS'in Pure STR bow goldbots at shakrams. The bots are 64+, with atleast half their 8D set, when I am 63, with a shit 60+2 bow lol. I get the gold drop, as well as almost full exp (2900 out of 3100) just about everytime. I'm sure someone will say something about goldbots having low dmg blah w.e, but all I'm saying is Hybrid works quite well for me in pve. Obviously i cant say much about 80+ pvp, so guess we'll see.
I would imagine if half you guys saying hybrids suck actually played one for some period of time, you wouldnt be bashing AS much xD

Not all botters su.ck in pvp lol. Some of my friends never killed 1 mob in their sro live and still are good in pvp. Why? because they are lvl 100 FF and have nothing else to do. So don't bring up that botters can't pvp argument.
Most hybs I know just went hyb because it was their first char and just didn't really knew what to do. They became lvl64 and realized they needed more hp and then went full str. They didn't want to start a new char. (This is only people I know that are hyb. str)

imo all chinese should be hybrid.. dont flame me thats my opinion and my reason is because all chinese weps have magical damage and phys damage on them, no euro weapon does the same..

if im wrong idc but just my idea. i only used a chinese char once during 70 cap and came back when euro came out so i know more about euro than chinese chars but still just my opinion

Imo it's easier to judge a build by watching some lvl 100 bots pvping than watching lvl 6x because builds cannot be compared at a lvl where you don't even bother pimping the set or the bows and that's a pretty important factor.
I've met about 5 hybrid str, 4 of them were bows and all of them fail. Sure they could win some pvps but not as many as a full str. That's my experience... Show me some concrete evidence that they are good and I'll admit that I'm wrong. Simple.

i deal nice dmg, crits aren't really outstanding but why should i care i have the money to buy decent weps/gear, i'll see where it ends lvl 63 atm cant wait to get my 64 sos +7 bow with the new glow

im more a dmg dealer as a tanker but i dont care i know my weaknesses i actually took out a d9 nuker with my sos +5 bowie i have to say, it was a turk, prolly npc gear xd

got my hybrid bower to lvl 64 and equiped my sos +7 bow... went to play ctf, results:

27 tickets, 2 times dead all d8 ctf most of them higher as me nukers and wizzies 1 hit, str builds a bit more but they can't kill me pot waste untill i get a nice crit spree or pt memb joins

On pluto both my friends are archers. Hybrid Ice Light Archer, and Full Str Fire Force Archer...


Force beat the hybrid easy...

Both have +5 set, and +7 bow...

Force Bower imo is the best
