it doesn't surprise me one bit that they don't try to keep bots out.. after all the international version isn't a final version of the game, eventually a european or american game company will buy rights to sro and open up their own version. and then what.. it has happened with all types of versions of sro, of course this is just my speculation but it seems logical, no?

I can guarantee it's way more than just 100/server. They opened their subscription like 5 times by now and each time they allowed 1000 new subscribers. That alone sums at 5000 subscriptions. Add the old ones, you'll end at 6000. Sure some got banned and some quited, so that's approximately 5000 accounts. 5000 x 5 = 25.000€/month.
The calculations and numbers are probably inaccurate. That's the information I gathered from a few players on Silkroad. So there's no guarantee it's correct. But still, even if this sum is lower... even 14.000€/month is a lot for doing almost nothing but programming. That's 168.000€/year (300.000€/year using my numbers). Our house income is maybe 40.000€ per year and this guy gets way more than that. o_X

why do some people think that SRF is full of closet botters? Most of the botters were weeded out in the first month or two after they put up the EB section. Theres almost nobody getting banned now except for the occasional account that has 0 posts
