Rogue/Cleric, Heaven Flash/Heaven Glare

Post by Murtaghs »

Hey there guys...

All the time I see Rogue/Cleric builds, they only do the defense buff on themselves, and then start attacking like a zombie without thinking..
Why is no one using Heaven Flash/Heaven Glare?

Heaven Flash and Heaven Glare cause Bind. The description of Bind says:
"Bind refers to the state where you cannot move because your legs have been binded to the ground. Being attacked by a magical attack will release you from the bind state."

Which means, that you can attack as much as you like as a Rogue, because your damage is Phy only.

Now my question is:
Is the skill description wrong, and will Phy damage cancel bind too?

If it's correct that only magic damage can cancel Bind, then why is no one using them?
It seems like one of the most usefull skills to me, because I would play like this:
"Heaven Flash > Dagger Desperate > Prick" << or something like that... (I dunno? I dont play Rogue... not yet, heheh xD)
Edit: The Overhealing and Glut Healing cause 'Absolute Damage', so thats not Magic Damage, so you can still use that when your opponent is under Bind status, right? :)

Anyways, can any of you "Rogue/Cleric experts" out there tell me how the stuff works?
Thanks,
Murtaghs

Binded people can't move, but can still attack. Good luck approaching them with DD on

hehe nice find^^
but i think:
the skill is time limited and...IF it worked...then dont use dagger (you have to go near to the enemy) stay with xbow and just kill him :D

overhealing and glut healing should work, if it works^^

Stealth... Bind > Dagger Desperate > Stealth > kill would that work?

No, because when you bind them you go in combat mode and can't cast stealth again

Why dont you simply forget about Daggers, bind opponent (if its Warrior/Glavier/Blader), use XE and start shooting from xBOW?

PROTIP: Bind cannot pass holyword.

That's basically it... I use this often against sun users since i have a hard time staying alive when they're near me.
So, Bind > get some distance > Xbow extreme > start shooting.

The famous epic combo.
1. Use healing cycle on yourself, or bless. Just stay alive.
2. Hurricane/Blast Shot
2. If It did NOT KD, repeat step 1.
2. If it did KD, go to step 3.
3. Switch to daggers
4. Use Dagger Desperate
5. Wounds/Mortal wounds

If that did not kill them, use butterfly blow or prick or something. This combo is outrageously strong, and I made a video to showcase that.

Input step 1.5 as use heaven glare, that is the best way to use this skill in pvp.

Not really. Having your enemies near you when you knock them down is good because you'll loose a lot of time running towards your opponent. At lvl 80+ there 2 KD skills so you would need to tank like 1-3 hits and any rogue with a decent gear can do that.
IMO HG is only usefull against opponents you cannot tank.

^Yup, even when I, as Warrior/Rogue, when I'm melee-ing opponent with 2h sword, and after Turn Rising and successful KD, I can see clearly the big difference when I use scud (with DD/Wounds) and when I'm doing combo without it.

Scud will make you faster, yes. But unless you are near your opponent your 3rd hit won't be done while he's on the floor. I also use scud myself but i still prefer having them nearby, and i do quite well with this technique.
