If he called it as unauthorized usage of paypal, than maybe it'll work. If not, I don't think JM perma-ban anything anymore. My friend got scammed after trading accounts cuz he was dumb and gave the perm info out first, so the guy scammed him after he bought silk. He did a chargeback, account was banned. 1 month later, I see the account active again the the character back out pvping and globalling about wanting to be sold again. I don't believe in any kind of JM perma-ban.

do a chargeback and in the paypal form check the box that says "did not receive goods" that equals an instant ban on his account. you wont get any money back but he will lose his char for scamming you. also as long as you keep the claim open and dont touch it even after the 20 day limit his account will remain banned at your digression.

if i were in your shoes i wouldnt have a second thought about it

you should have just changed the password of that sro account and immediately deleted that email account and you would have fun with that char till you quit or get "really" hacked
that gmail trick is too old...

Problem is when you delete the account when he does the recovery form it isnt deleted anymore, Gmail is in beta and has no support or a proper security in order.
