well look at it this way, hybrids are more balanced and could do well in pve and pvp. but when you look at the nuker...he does the BEST in pve and pure str does the BEST in pvp. just because they are weaker in one category doesnt mean they arent on of the best builds. hybrids could just score more points in that kind of compt. in ksro...only bladers win official tournaments...every single last one....so yea....gg

but ih ave to say hybrid int is a really good build...esp if you want to suceed in both playing grounds. but the honest truth is that there is no THE best in both pve and pvp. bladers still dominate pvp no matter what u say and nukers still dominate in pve. its just facts...

But that is a oxymoron or a paradox i believe. Pure Str excel in PvP...but not in Pve most of the time...Pure Int succeed in PvE...but not in PvP most of the time...so that leaves hybrids, Which brings the oxymoron/paradox.

Do come to Greece and watch how a lvl 70 int hybrid sword kill a lvl 70 full str sos blade,you will know who is stronger

So in other words it meant the opposite meaning? When do you use these terms?

Anyway, you cannot judge that hybrid is better than any other "Infamous" build because of just 1 major competition. It needs to be tested fairly, in a sense that the recovery potions recover at the same rate and autopot settings are the same.

From what i can think of why hybrids could win (And er...is it stated which hybrid? Int hybrid or str hybrid?) is because the person chosen and made a pure style is stupid and the person chosen and made hybrid is smart.

Thus hybrids won. But the chances of this is very slim. Maybe as the game progresses further we may know more about each build

You can't compare builds. It is like how would you compare pear and apples? Can you say one of them is superior to the other?

I'm still waiting for a hybrid around my lvl or 2-3 lvls higher to challange me.
Im now 47. pure / str / blader

nuker = PVE best

Hybrid = really good balance of the two

tanker = PVP best

that's how I see it, and how I've seen in the game so far, I want to see a fraps of something other than the above.

and no I don't want to see a +3 blader against a SOS spear. because gear still wins all. In the above I'm talking about around the same gear.

I think it's okay though, because grinding sucks as blader, and I'm glad we're really good at PVP otherwise nobody would be a blader.

This is a very interesting post, i am a hybrid sword 85-90% mag balance. I am on greece server..One thing i have noticed is that there is so many int hybrid/sword/shield and like me they open atack with a nuke+nuke or nuke+chain. Then after this kd+stab. With a good set of str and hp increase i find that it is very hard to kill the hybrid int as it's opponent is on the ground alot of the time. This means they can often hit the oppenent with 2nukes+2kd's and 6stabs (if no lag) Now this amount of damage just cannot be potted away..On greece the best pvpers are hybrid int or bladers..and there are a few str glavie with sos+5 weaps thats also do well..But imo and what ive seen from all the hybrids on greece..A hybrid int does just as well in pvp as a full str and often wins with blocks and succesful kd and stabs.

Conclusion: 80%-90% mag balance hybrid with block18+, crit parry shield and str and hp increase gear. Fully farmed with hp passive or cold defense.Hybrid int does very well. I have also seen trekker pvp. And what he says is very true. I have also seen pot fights with trekker vs sos+3 str glavies..Due to all the kd's trekker still doesnt die.

Anyone else on greece noticed alot of hybrid ints doing very well in pvp?

First of all, int hybrid sword i have to admit is good. but again, not all builds are made the way they were deisgned. any person can call himself a blader but for all we know his balance could be 85%. or maybe he has crappy masteries or even a downright stupid battle plan.

pure str and tankers (bladers). were made to be good at pvp. its simply too obvious.

secondly, pure ints were made to be good at pve.

int hybrids are the in-between because they can deal much power and still tank enough and make the lower hp with power.

if none of you guys believe this then go ask ksro, the makers. why are you asking the gm's of isro when there are the makers.....lol. common sense. XD

And to the guy who was attempting to use literary terms (that are taught in middle school, good ones, btw) plz stop trying to seems smart, because you dont. i assume you just learned those words and cannot not distinguish them nor apply them skillfully. plz fix up your english. my sincere thanks.

You bash him for trying to act smart yet apparantly you haven't gotten past GRAMMAR and PUNCTUATION yet...

I am having fun with my str /spear hybrid so far, I do decent damage and my HP is reasonably high, so I can take some beating. People keep trying to discourage me but I know I can succeed so I just keep on truckin'. I started with a str archer first, but that wasn't too fun. With the spear however I found it to be fun.

I seem to find bladers and swordies to be very annoying as they will run up to you and KS your giant mob, by knocking it down and doing like 10X less damage than me... Oh well.

I haven't done much PVP yet, many of the people on the server are 30+ so it's hard to find a good partner.

Anyways, great thread, convinced me to start a hybrid, loving it so far.

GNGWC had completely other circumstances than we have on the `normal servers´. For example they used npc weapons (low-crit) and npc gear. But that doesn´t take away they´re a lovely build to play

There´s a picture of gmCrayon out somewhere on which she admits that hybrids actually have good potentional at higher lvls, and know what? She´s right!

That doesn´t mean they´re the pur3 ownz0r5 or anyhing.. but atleast it finally got out that they´re not the weaklings we always thought they where

but after they killed uniques ( which r alot )
